Loving the guides wtfmoses. As someone who started roughly the same time you did it’s nice hearing someone else’s perspectives. As something for the final intro video, I would love to see something about how to level traders fast. I’m level 22 and I still have all but 2 traders at level 1, then I look at other streamers and they all have them leveled up already and ready to go with their next levels. Just seems like I’m missing something. Keep up the great content

A tip people tend to forget especially once they start to get the hang of the game is to insure your gear and then when you kill someone with good/decent gear to go and toss your insured stuff in unlootable location. Doesn't always work out perfectly but it can be a massive help to getting out of the raid with as much NEW gear/loot and still getting all insured back. This is not the same as trying to glitch your insured gear or trying to deny someone your gear while in a firefight. Let's play with some dignity.
@colton34255 жыл бұрын
Hi I'm noob. What's an unlootable location? Like some water or something? Sounds intriguing
@wisdomandy93615 жыл бұрын
@@colton3425 I mean ideally in a spot that players simply cannot loot. Like In a corner that players can't reach. However in most cases you'll just have to find an unlikely place to put stuff. Like in a random heavily covered bush or a dark corner of a room. I hate to give tips like this because it's kind of scummy. But after playing tarkov, you'll realize most players will do anything they can to scam, rip you off, camp, or just make your life a living hell. So doing this is pretty mild.

Im also the same rat that takes what i dont want from caches and hides those and tosses rounds on the ground so people cant find them. Why? because tarkov is a rat race. Because in the end if i can make you life harder than mine, i will. Because in the end you struggling a little more than me wont matter when the next reset rolls around and i start ALL over again. I will recommend the ADAR as a cheap M4A1 alternative. It's a russian semi-automatic AR15 that can be bought relative cheap. I think the cheapest I got is 17k, but you usually find them for around the mid 20k. But you can also buy Rechargeable battery, which I ar emost of the time cheaper and you can trade it from Skier for one ADAR. While the ammo are expensive, I feel the M855A1/M856A1 are usually around the same price as 5.45x39 BP rounds. It's very easy to use, and when you get it only needs a sight, and changing the gasblock so you don't have the annoying ironsight. You can also continue upgrading it if you survive the raid. There are some great budget ADAR build. You can also change the receiver and eventually make it an M4. But try to survive like 10 raid with the gun before you throw away your money.
@skartimus5 жыл бұрын
Exactly this, the ADAR seems even better this patch for some reason, and the 855A1/856A1 will tear apart nearly all players for very little price. Wish you could make it in the hideout though. Thiccbois with Gen4 etc well take a good amount of shots, but really is done great for me in that situation as the recoil is low so you can get your groupings right when firing fast.

Moses, a really good point to bring up that I haven’t seen discussed anywhere is, if in the trader screen and you dismantle a gun to sell it, the value on the red part stays the same as the total value of the gun. even when you put it in the sell box and the value comes up it shows that same number. When you actually sell it though, you DO NOT get that number you only get what that part is actually worth. Try it out a few time’s and you will see what I mean. Maybe everyone knows this, but I’ve watched every damn beginners video out there and nobody talks about it.

Great set of beginner guides for EFT. So far I stink at the game, but I think I just need to run a few more offline raids to get the shooting down. For Part 4 my suggestions would be for Money Runs and Hideout Upgrades. Perhaps include Tasks/Missions, but those seem pretty self explanatory.

It's worth noting that the AR platform is nearly identical to the ADAR 2 15, with the exception that the ADAR is semi auto only, and can be acquired from skior in exchange for a rechargeable battery (at the time of writing go for about 12k on the file market).

just throwing out an another option for budget scopes on the hunter. When I added this comment the Valday PS320 was 40-45k that’s kinda a lot to be loosing while leveling. Try the Zenit PSO they are 11-15k (they do look horrible) or try with the SVD Low sidemount an a VOMZ Pilad scope with the 25mm mounting rings it is 9-11k. It’s a bit hard getting used to hip firing for close engagements because you don’t have the 1X on the like what’s on the Valday but getting used to it is well worth the effort. Just my thoughts on it for what it’s worth.

Currently using AK 74M I believe it’s called. Can’t put two scopes on it currently, the one that is stacked on top of the 4x doesn’t switch to reflex sight...lol. Second question is which Mic do you use for your streams? Looking to upgrade and yours sounds very clear. Random question, sorry about that but figured I’d throw it in here. Ok been watching lots of beginners tips videos and from the footage it seems people don't use sidearms, how come? In many shooters switching to a gun to finish the enemy off is a classic tactic. But 1) are sidearms really that bad damage wise? 2) is switching to it really that slow? Pistols are often under rated in many games, but they might just be crappy in EFT idk. I used to get TONS of kills with pistols in BF.
@Spelo14 жыл бұрын
Because by "many shooters" you mean arcade one. Shooters like bf are in that category, you can easily switch to pistol in a second if you run out of ammo on primary, but in tarkov pmc puts his primary first which takes lots of time, and then grab pistol. Unless devs add quick switching to pistol while still holding your primary, it's only worth doing if you ran out of ammo in your mags primary weapon. Plus everything in tarkov cost money, so it's better off selling your pistols and finding one in raid. If you resort to using pistol over your primary, then you already screwed, because most players run good body armor and helmets, which pistol bullets is nowhere to penetrating it.

buy a desktop for gaming, and a cheap laptop for laptopping. Gaming laptops are a horrible compromise and they are expensive. You can buy a gaming PC and a cheap laptop for the price of a gaming laptop. Gaming laptops are heavy, have bad battery life and are not actually very good for gaming. The only time a gaming laptop is worth it is if your job means you're always traveling and away from your home going around the country for half the year, in that case, i can see the benefit. What about doing a video on where to extract? Honestly that is the hardest part of the game for me, finding out where exactly to extract. I've had so many frustrating runs, gearing up but ultimately running out of time because I can't find the extraction zones, or if I do find them, they don't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to buy a map in order to extract? A lot of these "beginner" videos don't cover the basics. Like I played the game for almost 2 hours before I found out (from a friend) that hitting "o" twice brings up what extract zones are available in any given map. If you're going to do a beginner series, please cover some of the BASIC basics - this game is unaccessible AF.
@paydennordlund5 жыл бұрын
These beginner guides are more for the basics to stay alive in general. For map specifics look up specifically a map guide for the map you want to learn. Pestilly makes map guides for every map and shows all the loot, spawns, as well as extracts. Another thing that helps is having a map pulled up on a second monitor, phone, or tablet. There are multiple copies of all the maps on reddit as well as the EFT wiki page. Hope this helps out, I am a newer player myself, but this is what has helped me over the past week or 2 since I started. Good luck friend.
