This video is just perfect - I had never considered that it's good for nylon to expand and contract. I knew about the potential weight issues with using only a chain but now I understand why you would use both beyond the weight factor. How often have you switched anchors to try out new types - how long did it take for you to really love your anchor? Obviously making changes frequently may become quite costly which is why I like to do my research. I know some sellers will offer used anchors, I suppose that's a way to save a bit of money and try something "new".
