Bro. I love your thought process as you go through this. I’ve got about 1k hours on the game. Bought it this year and had a love hate relationship with it, but can’t get off it. I have waves of being good and bad. Sometimes i’m shit hot, other times I’m just shit. I’ve noticed my biggest problem is I get massively anxious in pvp situations and it makes me do stupid crap. So I’m trying to condition myself to just let go and relax. Not be so attached to the loot etc. I’m trying to embrace and enjoy the process of being sent back to the coast and working my way up. I became a little bit of a loot goblin and would get obsessed with trying to carry everything and stash it all. And I think its this play style that has really made it difficult to progress in pvp. So I’ve joined a high loot pvp server and told myself no stashes, just what I can carry. I’m fighting the urge to stash and just getting a kill, taking what I need and moving on. Nomad style for a bit. Even then I struggled quite a lot. I watched not even the whole of this video. I got to like the beginning of Zeleno lol and just watching how your brain is ticking has had a huge impact on how I play. Joined the server after not being on in a bit with a little sk. Went to to kamenka military, took your advice about my approach, trying to be patient, looking at the entry points. Got a decent kill, went from freshie to fully geared. Then headed up to Zeleno. I spent the whole day just circling zelino with a tundra, being patient, thinking about the terrain, not rushing my kills or taking shots, when I do shoot I’m pulling back and taking long routes to relocate. I got a decent amount of kills for my first playthrough after watching this and already feel way more in control and more confident. I feel myself going through the steps you go through, and see how it really helps to get a grasp of the situation. I guess my only thing now is how to behave going in to the towns. I feel like I either have to move really slow or just belt it through. I noticed a lot of my kills were from people camping or standing still. And that the people who just ran in seemed to be the most safe. So i was wondering if you could do a video of how to explore a town in more detail. Similar to how you done this video, but less about military and more about just general movement style through buildings. This is the first video of yours i’ve watched. And really enjoying it. Only about half way so far but learning a lot. I’ve subscribed! Will likely binge your content. Keep up the quality work.

When hitting Stary Sober I ALWAYS recommend going into that treeline you talked about and looking for a Convoy there. I've hit that Convoy MANY times and found myself a Lar or 101 or dmr.

I was in zelen other day and finally found the last piece to be fully geared. pouring rain i was able to loot the entire MB with no issue, on my way out the rain stopped and all the zombies aggro’ed and cornered me, knocked me out. upon waking up the zone was hit with toxic gas and died in seconds. i was mad for a few days 😂

Great advice for new players/improvers who want to learn next level thinking. I look back two years ago and I am shocked by how I literally knew nothing. There's a lot I've learned myself through trial and error but there is always something new. Great video! I believe we never stop learning new tricks and skills. The real success story is not PvP skills, it's practical, logical and strategic thinking always. I've messed up so many veteran PvP sweats from simply being stealth and tactical.

I finally made it to Tisy after a week of moving through the map. First time looting the tents and didn't realise how quick the dynamic gas can hit you. Didn't have a mask on and insta death. Lesson learnt. Bring. A. Gas. Mask 💀

When I was new to dayz I got hit by gas in some town. I ran out and bandaged, but had no idea of blood infection. I was sick and spent spent next couple hours taking medication and continuing on with my life.. until I noticed my health dropping ever so slowly. It was kind of poetic when I realized my character was doomed. I sat down by a pond. Listened to the trees, the water, the animals... and waited.

Nah, just carry a full blood bag/pox antidote & an epi. Epi yourself to get out of the gas, administer the blood/antidote once you're safe. Weighs a lot less and takes up a lot less slots. Obviously an antidote is better than blood weight/space wise, but usually it'll be blood that you end up having on you.

Bro I was making a recovery from having a cough and I had to get up early irl so I hide in the upstairs rooms of a PD and logged off I log back on the next day and gas hits immediately I hear it but I’m on the roof at that point so I had to run through 3 floors and by that time it was too late had 3 bleeds fixed them and limped my way into a building so I could slowly eat fish to try to recover but I think I puked blood then died

In my opinion PvP in Dayz is a lot more about who sees who first and who shoots first than having ''the best gun'' or a plate carrier. Of course you want a plate carrier and an automatic weapon but that really wont save you if you're careless in the way you move around... Loved the vid thank you!

Small tip for shipping containers; if you have one end opened and the other closed; climb up and stand on the edge where the container is open, the zombies will gather under you and if you walk slowly backwards they'll go into the container and you can shut them in, I've trapped anywhere from 5 to 6 doing it this way

The mag vs the clip statement with the sks. I'll help. It is a mag. A non detachable magazine. Examples of clips are what are used to feed the m1 garand. Or you have stripper clips that feed magazines. Another form of clip are the moon ring clips for revolvers. Another example of a non detachable magazine is the Mosin. Which also was/is commonly loaded by using a stripper clip. 😊

Kamensk is my favorite. My typical loot route is from Svet to Novo, Arsenovo, and then Kamensk. Almost never run into anyone, but you are right when you do run into someone they’re juiced. Also there’s a dynamic convoy spawn between the town and the base, next to the mine. And one at Arsenovo. I’ve had great luck finding LARs, DMRs, NVGs, all the great convoy stuff maybe an hour into the game. And yes you can get a plate at Kamensk, it’s my favorite source of mid game gear

Officially, the SKS uses a non-detachable magazine that can be fed using 10 round stripper clips. SKS owners like myself know that the built in magazine can be easily removed and aftermarket detachable magazines which are readily available can be used quite effectively.

26:36 I would also highly suggest to go along the railroad because of the military trains that can spawn, they can spawn m79s, grenades, claymores, and some of the best military gear.

Stary for eastern and Zeleno for southern spawns is inevitable, if you take a "Tisy route" on cherno. Stary has even a convoy spawn. found a dmr and a famas once there , but an SKS is a guarantee i'd say. biggest hotspots on the map for middle geared pvp

In "death alley" in Zelen that is the single most dangerous area I've ever experienced in this game. I've seen 5 players get picked off in front of the main building. I've seen 3 way firfights between multiple parties take place in that base around those barracks.

My favorite thinf to do in a duo at zeleno is have one guy climb the fite station and just camp it and have one guy post up somewhere that can watch the firestartion. Works better on 3pp but u can get away with it on 1pp if the guy watching the fire station scouts for the fire station guy and he just pops up for a second

I love a good double overwatch. Sometimes what I like to do is have one guy fire shots to lure infected, then that guy listens for infected aggro while I overwatch from the hills. Etc.

Balota Airfield and the small encampment on the hill outside of cherno in the industrial zone were left out although i am not sure why. There are a few times I got a good game start spawning outside cherno following the shipping area looting the mil crates and working into cherno through the small MB make my way over to Balota and up to Zelen.

also in the southwest of NWAF the whole section you said to ignore is Military Industrial the garages although not very safe to loot near that gas station spawn military, and the whole area past it with the vehicles has Trucks and Humvees that spawn military loot around them.
