couple of other good tips for new players. When you spawn in at the coast you always spawn pointing North, so this will help figure out where you might be on the map (if the sea is behind you you're on the south coast, if the sea is on your right you're on the east coast). Also if you find 1 small stone and can't find a second one, you can craft a stone knife by holding the stone in your hand and approach a big stone/boulder and you will get the option to craft a stone knife :)

I was wondering how long until someone uploaded a good beginner's guide to console DayZ. I watched on KZbin & Twitch for years & purchased this game on PS5 same day it was released. Game was out since 2019 but I heard PS4 wasn't good at all to run the game. Glad I waited as my other PS5 friends can see almost as far as I can. I have a compatible Sony TV with amazing tech, so I spot easier but my teammates are great at PvP. Glad you uploaed this as we need more nice players to join this game. It's full of nasty ppl who KOS freshies or wiggling randoms. Hope anyone who watches this stays with it & has a positive impact on fresh spawns you meet.

I got it for Xbox when it was released back in August 2018 after having played on my pc. I’m a console gamer at heart & couldn’t wait for it to be released. It wasn’t great on an Xbox one but was so thankful it was on the platform. There’s no other game like it, when I got my series x the difference was night & day & that’s without a proper next gen uprgrade. Would be nice to have that one day. Your Sony tv sounds awesome my friend, I’ve got a decent monitor but am thinking of upgrading. Great little starter guide. Don't forget you can melee with your weapon in hand. So when in cqb and you need to back a player off of you so you have room to aim and fire.

I am loving this game. Just started playing a few days ago. Yeah, it is hard for beginners but once you learn how to not get sick, everything else is much easier. I'm more of a fps shooter person anyway (warzone, apex) but this game is something fresh for me. Plus now I've been using the izurvive map so makes it a bit more easier haha. But thats only cause I literally have no idea where to go but pretty soon I'll go back to just using in game maps. Now that I know how to find water, police stations, etc. I'm on console so this will help me a lot more. I love being able to find a house all by itself on a country road and able to make a fire and camp out there for a bit.

@@recedingman I can relate to the "getting shot while fishing" moment. I found a random guy yesterday and he forgot how to make a fire and fish. So In Cherno we were fishing by the ferris wheel while I cooked the fish he got. Well this random sniper shot hits the dirt and then the next one kills me. I never found his body so maybe he got away

Finally, a tutorial for someone who has just started the game. Everyone who makes tutorials for games never make a complete complete beginner's guide. That knows absolutely nothing but you have seem to do it thank you. Now make a video explaining how to play soprancy nineteen fourteen or Conflict of nations. Those games look so much fun. Hold on - OK I've got 2 stones but, how do you actually craft it?

you just need to take a Stone and then take it to a Big rock and you'll get the stone knife...the 2 stone on all the help videos at least on PS4 doesn't work Also get 2 stones so one turn into a knife the other keep as a stone so you can make Chicken or Bone knifes to help make your Metal knifes last longer...and you can use a hammer or meat malt on rocks to make small stones.

Is there any way to make the inventory equip/unequip less sucky? Why can't I just reload a double barrel without going into the inventory, selecting the ammo, and selecting "combine"? I've tried everything I can think of and that's the only way I can figure to reload the double barrel.

Ya the controls are definitely complicated. You have to put food in ur hand then press right trigger to eat. To change clothes, take the old ones off first they press Y to equip while it is highlighted

Try community servers, higher loot makes learning the game better and most community servers has certain things about them also like harder zombies, more wild life, longer or shorter days/nights. I play on Xbox you can add me if you want Lacedpxrp

My biggest enemy is the bloody lag. I am, however, playing on an absolute relic of an xbox. It's been bished and bashed that much I'm surprised it even turns on anymore. So anyway, anytime I enter a large city or anywhere really with allot going on, I jitter around so bad it's pointless playing. It's so bad that I'll be running away from z's and my screen will just freeze for 3-4 seconds. Absolutely ENRAGING. Anyway I'm upgrading very soon but until then I'm staying away from DayZ. I do love the game but it's pointless to play with my current console.

U on ps or Xbox my friend? In some cases it’s just pressing (y) or (triangle) when the item you want your character wearing is highlighted. Other times u have to hold (y) or (triangle) down on the item u are wearing to drop it. Then press (y) or (triangle) over item u want replacing it. Hope this helps, good luck out there 👍🏻
