Mexico guide for beginners: 1. Load the truck to the top 2. When the truck starts shaking side to side like crazy when driving you know it’s properly loaded when you hit a small bump. 3. Pass over the scale because you need to know your overloaded. 4. Dump truck on unleveled dirt and watch it shake like crazy side to side. Than lower after it’s empty. 5. Thank your lucky stars your truck and yourself lived to do it all over again.

I knew a guy who had old waterbed bladders hidden up between the frame rails of his dump truck that he'd have full of water when he ran over the scale on the way in. Then once he was past the first weigh-in, he would pull the petcock and let all the water drain out as he slowly made his way over to the loading site. They would load him up, and on his way out he would get weighed with the truck and the stone that they just loaded for him (less the few hundred gallons of water that he came in with but it's leaving with!) and he would get all of his stone for half price. He got away with this for YEARS and never got caught. This was before yards were all computerized, and they could easily see that they loaded 2 cu yd of stone and he only paid for 1. What a thief! (A genius.. but a thief non the less!)

@Gingeria1 Жыл бұрын
I’ll never understand the heavy emphasis on the level ground business. Some guys won’t even tilt that box up oh hard asphalt with a slight super to it. In Western Washington when 500 plus acres of tote to chit forest ground is you playground you don’t have that luxury there either. You learn to adapt and get creative in your dumping when need be. Another bit for the New Drivers out there. Exit your cab backward with the sacred three-points of contact rule. 15 or so years ago this was drilled into my head with a few screams and curses and getting my Stanley thermos tossed from the cab as a young driver from an old time trainer. I've seen a lot of guys get really damaged by not exiting this way.....and hardhat...99.9999999% of the time it's unnecessary but if you're delivering to a site.....you never know...rocks can magically get launched at you. Keep it safe. Great video.

It sucks when you’re used to driving a 10 speed and forget that it’s an 8 speed, and stall the truck on a hill coming out of the quarry! (Only did it once). It sucked not having spill gates, and having to hop up top with a shovel, and estimate how much to shovel off before going back on the scale. Must have a CB. Loader operator will remind you to latch the gate! Best invention in the world was putting a scale on the loader!!! Never had to shovel after that. Don’t forget to bang the gate when finished dumping,so the residents who live near the plant where you are dumping can call the police to complain about the noise. (Plant was built before the houses)
