This was very helpful. I’m the protector of a newly realized system. We have a lot going on and the host is best friends with a different host of another system and got triggered by them so I came out pissed at them. Now both systems are on edge. So being able to ground myself helped control my anger. This was very helpful. Thank you very much

I never knew dissociation was a thing till now. I always felt I was weird that I have it about 2 to 3 times a day especially when I'm overthinking a problem and it always feels like there's a fog in my mind that I can't focus on one thing or even get out of it. Taking deep breath kinda helps me. Thank you Chloe so much for making this video and thank you Kya for reuploading it. I already miss Chloe ... Love and support from Egypt to the system. ❤️

This is super helpful I have anxiety and depression with some OCD symptoms. I sometimes feel really disconnected because I get worried then panicky about everyday things. It can be very simple things that trigger me like having to go outside. I sometimes get so panicky that I completely go into myself and don't notice what's going on around me. I love fidget toys but I've not tried smells so I'll try those too.

Hello there! I struggle with anxiety and depression too, when I feel the panick or the brain fog coming, i bite in a lime or drink a bit of lemon concentrate this helps very much because the brain focuses on the sour taste. Everybody is different, but maybe this can help you too!

My bed is right next to an outer wall. After watching this video I realise how often I ground myself by just pressing my palm to the cold painted brick. A newer habit after this video is, on worse nights, I just pull my shirt up a little and press my bare back against the cold. It really, really helps. Thank you for these videos of yours!

Thankyou - again - so much for this - i have a very keen sense of smell , and all the dryer sheets and perfumes out there actually can make me faint - but this helps to remind me that the smell of cedar, pine and rose - reminds me of my gramma - and i used to carry those scents on a hanky! my husband bought me furry animal finger puppets for my birthday- they are nice for the touch thing, also comforting and my littles love them. i find also that silver jewelry with a facetted stone in it. is good. Something that i have found in the last year which is really perfect for calming - i have anxiety so bad i will throw up and faint - not fun in public. i've had head and neck injuries so a doctor told me to breath slow- as much as possible - do not hold the breath just slow down -and blink really slowly - while doing that if you can bring to mind something that honestly makes you feel good /without conditions - like thinking of your pet - this helps big time. i was told i had a disorder - because i didn't blink - i now know that i just didn't blink - because of my 'situation'

Heya Dissociadid, We're a multiplicity with many comirbidities. We intend to stay as a multiple. For severe disso switching episodes, do you guys have YT shorts? I lost my smell after i had Covid - still struggling being present ... Now i rely on cold showers and ice cubes, if I'm not hyper sensitive .. otherwise looking at the days date, and saying an affirming mantra with breathing technique is kind of helpful

this is precisely what i’m going through right now! I see that this was a year ago, how are you doing now? I’m struggling to find ways to stay grounded, especially since smell and taste were ways I did it in the past!
@astralydial7533
@astralydial7533 9 ай бұрын
Hey @@macncheesefairy I'm so sorry you're experiencing it.. Do you have loved ones around you? I'm doing a lot better now. I've practiced other senses (feeling, seeing, and breathing, is the best mindfulness for me). Also practicing thankfulness, and being present in a project or other (using the senses) have done tremendous things. And expressing feelings, like letting my body cry and be at peace with that. I do mindfullness everyday, when I remember. When I wake up, and go to sleep. And then 5 min intentionally. I'm very intense - but doing it when the thought pops up, and when you're at peace, you have a better chance at it working, when you're stressed or dissociative. It was a gradual improvement, now it feels exponential. In 2021 Covid happened. Then 2022, with a lot of trauma. Then 2023 was in a peaceful place - and that's where it began to improve. Now 2024, I'm more grounded than ever. Was it clear, the way I explained it? Is it understandable, and implementable? If you have anymore questions, please ask 🙏🏾

I'm not sure what I got since I've never seen anyone about it. But I'm pretty sure I frequently experience DP/DR. I tend to "snap" out of it after a couple minutes but if I catch it happening I try to, indeed, spike a sense. It's a similair thing I do when I get super nervous to the point life doesn't seem real, I try to do a 321, observe 3 things you can see, listen for 2 different sound, and feel 1 thing close to me. And I try to do thins several times till I'm calm or back in reality. It's sometimes hard to really know how long I've been "spaced out" for too
