I grew micro greens by mistake. Chia seeds are always in my drinks and shakes. Lost track of one of my bottles in the car and it grew sprouts within 48 hours. It intrigued me and thought I’d try growing them myself. Thanks for the video.

Great vid! I use soil, but I like the idea of the jute pads much better. For those who have pets that like to eat greens, you can grow special microgreens for them, too. Wheatgrass, clover, whatever. Also, after you grow a crop, and if you want a small section to put in a pet cage, you can cut a square of it out and place that square containing the jute pad and greens, into a small plastic, flat bottomed dish. Keep it hydrated and your pets will enjoy nibbling on it. Pet birds, guinea pigs, mice, rats, rabbits, cats, etc, can all enjoy microgreens.

Hello, I am a farmer from Poland, which is the center of Europe. I was very interested in your videos on the cultivation of microleres and plant sprouts. You are doing a great job. I would like to try such projects myself, hence my few questions. Please answer if it's not a problem, I want to dispel my doubts, thank you in advance. 1. I have 1500 m2 of plastic tunnels outside, are they suitable for cultivation? - we mainly grow cabbage seeds here for later planting in the field. 2. What is the process from sowing to harvesting sprouts / microleels? - if you have a movie and I skipped it, I would like to watch it. 3. Do you spread the seeds on peat soil or do you have a different substrate? 4. How much time should the seed be in the dark, and when should it be exposed to the sun/lamps? 5. What kind of lighting lamps do you use? and at what distances? 6. Are the sprouts/microflora sprinkled with water from the top or is it enough to drip from the bottom not to waste water? 7. What prices should be faced. I know that electricity, water, and seeds have to be paid for, but what do they look like? Let's say you earn $ 100 - how much should you spend to get this amount. That's all I want to know. I will be very grateful if I get the answers. This is a very interesting topic, hence I would like to learn from experienced people. Best regards, do your job! :) Tracz Jaroslaw office@e-catapult.com

Question, when you cut the plants to eat or store what then happens to the remaining part of the plant? Do you have to sow all over again or you let the plant grow again and harvest once more?
@liverbird462 жыл бұрын
You discard the parts of the plants underneath the mats and have to sow new seeds. You could actually plant some out and grow on to be full grown plants but for microgreens you need to keep sowing seeds and growing for 10-14 days.

Nice video! I have some questions I hope you will answer. Can I use previously purchased Chanvra Hemp pads (cut to size) in place of the Jute pads? Can arugula sprouting seeds be grown this way? I've been trying to learn about the amount of seeds per tray and ended up confused. Is it necessary to weigh the seeds per size of container or can we simply sprinkle each type/size of seed equally to somewhat cover the pad? I know your video shows you gently covering the pad with seeds, I just want to make sure we can do the same with any type/size of seed. Last question, can we grow two different type of seeds (in 1/2 sections-not mixed) on one pad? Like you, I store my dry harvested jar sprouts in a container with paper towel on top and bottom, sometimes I need to change paper towels out since they can get moist. My harvested jar sprouts have stayed fresh in the fridge for over a week. Glad you mentioned to wash the microgreens as we take them out of the fridge. Thank you for such a warm, friendly and educational video.
