I just bought the driver & 1/2" HammerDrill with the hardshell plastic case. I had a 1/4" Drill with two batteries, charger and hardshell plastic case for about ten years. I had the case loaded with an assortment of drill bits. It was stollen from a job a few weeks ago and it's like I lost my best friend. It worked flawlessly for me time after time. Yes, I'm a Dewalt lifer and believe in all their tools. They are the best quality I've ever used and that's why I stay with them. Great video. Keep them coming.

So if the impact driver is more powerful than the equivalent cordless drill, why would someone need a drill at all?

Sounds like that could be a whole other video, but in a nutshell: impact drivers for more torque with less size and weight (which can save your hands and wrists when driving a lot of fasteners on the same job) - drills for more precision - like that required when drilling holes....
