An addendum to my Comment, trying to do investigations on the crusader moons are fantastic, because of the Low atmosphere.

Crusader is such a nice place to base yourself for bounties, bunker missions and many other contacts!

@@CitizenFrost if it weren't for Orison, it'd be my home base. As it stands, ArcCorp is homebase Start. Reasons? Ship purchasing AND rental, Dumpers Depot And a weapons and armor shop, as well as AstroArmada. It's the only planet that has all of the major needed stores, in one place, and for starting off after the next wipe that comes, ArcCorp is king.

What's the range of profit-per-hour with had mining? I realize it's very different depending on the ore you're getting, but are we talking 5k-100k per hour? Or 1k-20k? or 20k-150k?

I have to honest I'm not really sure but I'd guess its between 50k-100k pee hour.

Yes surface rocks are too big for the hand tool, you need to look for rocks under ground.
