australia stopped producing groms in like 2022 i think? because it doesnt have abs on both wheels or something lol at least in australia you have to do a 2 day course (12 hours total) to get your learner motorcycle license and you have to hold that for 3 months (in my state) and depending on the state you have to have someone with an open motorcycle license supervising you, then you have to do a test/course to get on your restricted license so you dont need a supervisor anymore, you can lane filter after a year on restricted license and hold a passenger then. all whilst you can't have a motorycle over 650cc then after those 2 years you can do another test/course to get on unrestriced/open license lol still really tempted about getting the grom, but the speed is the only thing holding me back i think lol, looks real fun tho nice video though, i liked it

Holy crap so many rules. We can get whatever we want whenever we want. You need a valid driver's license before taking the riders course, which is the same for you and us. To get that you need to be 16, at 15.5 you get your learners permit, 6mo driving with someone over 18 or 21. But there's no restrictions on age or time and the size bike you get. The speed would be an issue for you for sure. The Grom comes in an ABS model and standard, but ABS is only on the front.

Yep i live in Bundaberg Qld & going to get bike licence & i think it's great our rules here because they are designed for our safety & to teach us how to properly ride a motorcycle before we go onto main roads without some experience ! Learning all the slow riding techniques in car parks / track doing courses is the way to go 👍😝 Progressing through each stage & each course until we get full unrestricted licence is good in Australia & will save lives on the road , in the 60's 70's in Aus 🇦🇺 There wasn't all the courses & people simply got their L's & they were on the public Roads riding a motorbike 🙈 Many not knowing how to ride & many ended up crashing or even worse dying ! I know this I'm 59 & that's how it was back then in Australia 👎 Learner Courses & Restricted course & Going for Open unrestricted licence & doing that course is brilliant here in Australia ! Knowledge is NOT a Burden🏍 😝 🇦🇺🕺

@mygi43543 Moto Jitsu can ride mate ! I'm Aussie & get what you're saying 👍😄 & i agree our rules & courses are there to help us become a good rider & progess through each course to know all the good habits to form & know the bad habits so we don't do them , im 59 & going to do my learners course & onto the other courses to get my Unrestricted open licence & by then a bigger bike 🏍 Saying Moto Jitsu fella is shit rider i don't concur ! Everything I've seen of him is Excellent & he use to race bikes at one stage before he went into the Marines as a Soldier ,He can ride hey 🏍😝👍

@@stevewilson8752He can ride to an ok standard but he acts like hes the fastest. He lacks simple fundamentals of road riding and road craft, look at his line selection as an example. He lacks any real understanding of riding and parrots what is said to him. Watch him on an unfamilar road, he is slow as shit and doesn't know what to do He's never raced bikes, he's done trackdays but he's a slow rider, all the track day addicts take the piss out of him. When you get more excperience you'll see that he is full of BS

So is it safe to say it's like riding a bicycle just without the pedals?
@theANGRYtango5 ай бұрын
I mean, when it comes to balance? Yeah, but it changes when you go faster than 10-15mph. Instead of pedals you have a pretty sensitive throttle, two sets of breaks, clutch and gear select, indicators, +200lbs, etc
