I remember playing this in 6th grade. Now in 11th grade, being an all state mallet player, our school’s 8th grade band is playing this song. Since they don’t have enough percussionists, I was asked to help…I have to play all of percussion 2 on my own, all 8 instruments. This piece that used to feel so simple and fun might turn into one of my greatest challenges as a musician
