Amazing video! On Mother’s Day I had my first lesson in glassmaking. My teacher was so detailed and I felt I picked it up right away. It’s an amazing process. My Grandfather was a glassblower in the 1940s NYC. I have a glass straw he blew and a shot glass. To actually do what he did was very moving. It truly is an art.

Great video. Clear, concise explanation, spoken slowly, making it easy to follow. Very interesting process. I had no idea how much time & effort goes into making a glass vase. Such talent & artistry! Thank you.

That would be such a cool container for an herb like thyme or rosemary. The root ball gets 360 degree sunlight and is visually cool. Really love the explanation and the final vessel form.

It's really interesting seeing how different and similar making a glass vase is to a ceramic one.

I thought the same thing, but about pottery. I did glass before I got to do pottery:)

Where can you go to actually learn this craft? There’s a place in Dearborn, MI called The Glass Academy but academy it is not. You go in and they show you how to make something once. It’s whatever they’re making that night. I would like to really learn.
