W kemarin nonton performance ini di event Video Games Concert di Ciputra Artpreneur. W yg ga maen FF7 bahkan ga ngedengerin OSTnya sama sekali, w ngerasa takjub banget nonton dan dengerin ini. Bahkan, Cosplayer Sephiroth ditampilin juga loh. I watched this performance at the Video Games Concert event at Ciputra Artpreneur yesterday. I don't even play FF7 or listen to its OST at all, but I was totally blown away watching and listening to this. They even featured a Sephiroth cosplayer!

A Timpani is the set of large, low pitched drums you see the dude thumping on with those cloth covered drum sticks, towards the back behind the plastic dividers. They're known for their low, deep bass tones. For reference, at the beginning of Revenge of the Sith, when the camera pans around and shows the capital ships, those are what you hear booming.

this live version is a trip dude! even though the Wasabi band played slightly different than the Black Mages band, they still rocked! I liked how they resemble Sephiroth's clones, emo and all. I also like how this performance is much similar to the soundtrack (studio) version of Advent OWA. even though each live perfomance has different aspects, I give all live performances of Advent One Winged Angel 5/5 because they're all live and the best symphonic-rock-opera mix song I have ever heard!!!!

One complaint... the women were singing "Gloriosa, Generosa" from the original OWA at the end. Other than that, good job. Even nailed the guitar solo from the OST! That's something even the Black Mages aren't doing for the live shows (that I've seen).

the reason why the guitar was soft was because there was a slight problem with the sound system (that's what i heard). because, in the song where wasabi played before this, the guitar was loud. and when they did a concert again (mixed songs from movies and final fantasy), it was okay.

OMFG this is the best OWA orchastra EVER done the voices just gave me the chills and that doesn't happen alot. They only mad e one mistake at the ending they used the lyrics from the original OWA not the AC one.

I wish I was in Japan with these people. So awesome. Sadly not many people would even know about Final Fantasy in places like America, Europe or even Australia. Not many people in Brass Bands, Concert Bands or Symphony Orcastra in western countries even know the real significance of that piece One Winged Angel and the story of Final Fantasy 7 where it came from. I wish my Brass Band would have played that tune.
