You broke a barrier and gave some really solid good advice , but just one correction that your resulting calculation is correct , but maybe by mistake you said you save 1.5 lakh . Actually 1.5 lakh rebate just reduces your taxable income to 7 lakhs to ab jo tax percentage hoga vo 7 lakhs pe apply hoga , and i think very few people have the level of finacial knowledge and eagerness to learn despite the hectic life of yours🔥❤️

You have to pay income tax on interest you earn in FD or savings account or RD. It is counted in income. PPF and a few other govt. Schemes give tax benifit

I was talking about deduction under section 80C. Interest is taxable. But if you do a 5y tax saving FD - the amount invested is deducted from your taxable income upto 1.5L.

5 year FDs are an instrument under 80C The interest on that is taxable. But the amount put in 5y FD is deductable from your gross income. The only instrument which is totally tax free is PPF. The gains on ELSS too are taxed at 10%
