I'm going to appear for NEXT/INICET 2024 (currently at end of 2nd Prof). Will preparing for and giving USMLE Step 1 & 2 (just for the sake of it, no intention of moving abroad), aid in its preparation, or is it pointless?

@Rkhardori
@Rkhardori 2 жыл бұрын
You do not get matched to Harvard or Yale. One gets matched to affiliated hospitals. Harvard has as many as twenty affiliated medicine program of which three are the real prize - MGH, BIDH and Brigham and Womens Hospital. Similarly Yale has many hospitals attached and the real prize is Yale New Haven Hospital. When people tell you they matched at Harvard ask for the program they matched to. Very rarely does an FMG get matched into residency programs like medicine or surgery,but quite few get into fellowships after completing residency elsewhere.it is much easier to get into Mayo Clinic since it is not in the same league as the ivies.
