The owners husband actually get out there with us, gives us tips, rescues, ETC.. but really trying to establish camaraderie between management and the drivers, develop organization, and put us in position every day. You know what's funny...the tire pressure light on the dash is lit on every van my dsp owns 😅. Windshield wipers have no fluid or something else.You literally have no time to do a thorough vehicle inspection. As for loading...they say only take one cart at a time but it's nearly crazy not to take two at a time just to load up at the proper time.Almost everything I've learned in training was thrown out of the window. Your videos have helped though.

If the regular maintenance is not up to par with the vans, that means that the DSP owners could care less and you need to run! If they don’t care about their vans, why would they care genuinely about their drivers?!?

You go aways behind the cart. So the cart goes first on the ramp. If its too heav you will need help, one person at the front, and other at the back.

Why do some DSPs start out at $17.75 per hour, while others nearby start out at $18.75 per hour? I work at a DSP on the outskirts of Dallas at $17.75 per hour, while a DSP in Dallas starts at $18.75 per hour.
@amazondeliverydriver

It all depends on the cost of living in that particular state along with how much money the DSP’s are making. If the DSP’s are getting paid well, in return they will pay you well.

@G Montana NYC cost of living, they need start ya'll out at $50 per hour. How do you live off of $19 an hour in NYC? I live comfortably off of my now $19.50 per hour job here in Dallas. (I quit Amazon and got a better job) Apartment is $600 per month including utilities. This same apartment would be $2000 per month (or more) in NYC.

I’m a relatively new driver and my DSP is horrible. The other DSP’s at the station are just as bad. The phones are cracked and faulty. The phone chargers barely work. They told us to mark the vans as no issues during inspection so the van doesn’t get benched. Nothing is streamlined, the dispatchers have little to no enthusiasm, concern and no one seems to care. Sometimes we have less than 10 minutes to load out.

That’s crazy 17 bags 30 overflow 😮 I’m in Scotland and where I deliver 9/10 bags is a lot, the bags are packed full though. Then again our routes are so bad, there’s so many flats (apartment buildings) in bad areas and you can’t get parked close to them. The areas are just a lot different here I guess. You’re doing great 😊 👏🏻

Hi , thank you for sharing your experience. 1) My DSP said don't log in with our personal cell phone, otherwise that will fucked up the Mentor points. I don't know if they are lying or not. 2) Usually they gave me one cell phone, their s**t rabbit die quickly, no tips to know how to manage that . First of thank you for sharing your experiences with DSP. I’m about to start anytime soon and I’m very excited. Watching all these videos give to us (beginners) a lot of clearance about the route.
