It is impressive how consicely and unambiguously he declares that England occupied America. Most American books spend time discussing the colonization of the land, followed by the rebellion via the revolutionary war. Also, though it is an incredible generazation to call the south merely agrarian, it is liberating to hear him say that the civil war, although a culture war betwern 2 societies, was definitively a war about the existance of slavery.

The Indian experiences is similar. Britain tried it in India and succeeded for 2 centuries, before we threw them out.

Abraham Lincoln won the civil war (1761-1765). Abraham Lincoln wanted to abolish slavery of the negros slave(Abolitionism). > Every man is sinner as he is fallen, the puritans believed. > Quakers were pacifists, rationalists. > Copperfield was the first novelist in American literature. >

He should've been a little more professional. It appears that he hadn't prepared his lecture at all. He skipped multiple signifant points which are critically important in laying the foundation of the early American Literature. He forgets names of authors who are important in giving a distinctive character to American Literature. He talks about Cotton Mather and all of a sudden he jumps to Fenimore Cooper. Sorry for speaking my mind..
