I don't get why some people think Disney+ is going to be this INSANELY big service that's instantly going to skyrocket to the number 1 streaming service. When you think about it it's essentially a niche service with everything having to be kid friendly. Sure it'll have hugely popular stuff like Star Wars and the MCU, but those are still niche fandoms that have pretty similar tones. The Disney+ service simply won't have the broad appeal that services like Netflix have with their insane amount of different stuff from different genres that appeal to every possible fandom. Don't get me wrong, it's gonna be VERY successful, but it's also not going to put any other streaming services out of business or be the biggest service simply because the content is all going to be very kid friendly Disney stuff.

WOW I actually agree with Josh for the first time! I pay $150 for my internet and cable. I have ALL the cartoon channels for my kids, hbo, max,starz, & Showtime, and 300mbs internet speed. I also have the wwe network that I really only use to watch the ppv's. I'll get the Disney steaming service when it launches, but all the other streaming services are irreverent for me.

Speaking of sports, in Australia we have a streaming service called Kayo. All sport is live, but ALSO all on demand. ALSO you could start watching halfway through the game and watch from the start or watch live. ALSO you could watch up to four channels at the same time. Pause, rewind, skip ads, etc. Plus it has all the cable sports channels if you just want to flick through the channels. And it's half the price you'd normally pay as you don't have to pay for basic cable to get it.

From Mister $165 per month on a cable bill the 2019 version of being a serial flipper goes something like this and it's absolutely possible to get rid of cable and still enjoy being the serial flipper you are. When I hop onto my Nvidia Shield or Roku, most days the Nvidia Shield I start with looking at the KZbin subscriptions that I have added to my Shields main page. This channel is one of those. I check out new videos of the day that I find interesting, usually decide if they are too long to watch in the time I have or not and if they are I remember them for later. I watch various short KZbin clips and tips and reviews on various things. If I get bored with that then I go to my live channels app on the Nvidia Shield where I find both Haystack content which is a free app for news and video clips and it also integrates Pluto TV which has something like 170 channels. Within the live channels app on my Nvidia Shield I flip between Haystack and Pluto stations that are pretty much just the same as cable TV. you can also add over-the-air antenna stations to this application as well which someday I will probably do. Sometimes I have pop into Vudu to check the free selections they offer or maybe tubi to see what movies they currently have. Both of these are wonderful free applications for streamers you still want to be a serial flipper. the Roku channel app has various live channels as well which are enjoyable for news, sports, Etc. A lot of times I will check out the Roku channel to see if they have anything good that is new and watch some of the live channels they have. I find the People Are awesome live stream to be particularly good. if I realize it's been a couple of weeks since I've checked out what's new on Netflix or Amazon then I will check out what they are currently recommending and what is trending by flipping around those apps as well. There are so many options if you would just open your mind up a little bit and get out of the old school cable ways that you seem stuck in. It's 2019, why watch TV like it's 1980? Heck my dad will never give up his antenna with his TiVo roamio because all he knows every day when sitting down to watch TV is to look at the channel guide and see what's on that night over the air with 20 minutes of commercials every hour. Some people are forever stuck in the way that they knew and unable to adapt to what people do today. I highly suggest you try some of these cool new tricks for being a serial flipper and still enjoying content the optimal way. Good luck on your serial flipping adventures. One of the best superhero shows I've seen is a KZbin red or whatever it's called original series and it sucks that it's never going to get the views and fanbase it deserves because it's on KZbin. I can't remember the name of it but it's about a girl that can teleport. Amazing. Same with cobra Kai. I wish both shows were on Netflix so people would actually see them.

The Expanse on Amazon alone makes Amazon trump Hulu any day of the week. That show is F’ing incredible. Plus Hulu’s user interface is garbage. Amazon has a cool thing where if you pause what you’re watching, it’ll show the headshots and names of the actors in that specific scene you paused on. Super dope feature.

The big networks doing streaming services will be their ultimate demise unless they make it cheap and work something out where they can package the big 3 together for one price. Also no service should start off above 10 dollars. I'm only interested in Netflix, Disney+, and the Warner streaming services.warner is making a mistake with the high price tag.they have the properties to take Disney on but being around 3 times more expensive is going to severely cripple them right out the gate.
