He's statistically proved the existence of confirmation bias.

You forgot about the circular reasoning. The claims in the Bible are true because Bible said the Bible is true. No actual data or mechanisms to support his outlandish claims, just agree with him.

@@lubrew5862 There are many examples which deconstruct these narratives. An earlier flood and ark story 5,000 years old involving a Sumerian god drowning the entire world. Another god told the hero of the story to build an ark to save animals and people. the Sumerian Flood Myth dates to 2150 BC, while the oldest written copy of The Epic Of Gilgamesh dates to c. 2000 BC.

@@lubrew5862 Do you realize that all reason, at its core, is circular? Because it at some point has to be established on the credibility of itself? What he's saying, and it's significant, is that there's high statistical improbabilities. I mean... just the fact that every continent on Earth has some culture somewhere that has a Noah's Ark like story, is enough for me to believe. You take that, and then look at the Genealogies in Genesis, and see they line directly with the 24th century, and see there's an anomaly in the Mid 24th Century that seems to be exactly dated at the flood, and then you take Chinese writings literally reflecting Biblical stories, and not to mention some direct passages from Genesis found in ancient Chinese Literature from around 2400Bc, it's hard to not come away with a very strong inductive argument for the Flood and Genesis. And then you add the mountains of other evidence, it's no longer inductive, but "Why the high heaven's doesn't anybody know this?" Because based on evidence, satisfied on its own credibility, the Bible's 100% true. It's not confirmation bias, it's the only way those facts can be pieced together, and make sense. Plus, the sources from Genesis would have to date to about 2400BC, and even 2000BC for some of the information they get. Such as the Isin-Larsa Period's war between the Elamites and Amorites. The Bible actually gets that right, and even gets the politics of it right. And it talks about Abraham and Sodom and Gomorrah--which we actually have excavated two cities around the Mesopotamian Basin that have seemed to been nuked, and have trinitite residue in the residual pottery.

@@lubrew5862, it seems that you did not watch this whole video. He presents compelling evidence that supports the Universal flood. The Bible records the events and we can verify those events using scientific methods, tools and archeology.

@@asunder6797Well aware of the Epic of Gilgamesh, I have pointed out to other the similarities to it and the Noah myth. My point was the poster of the video provides nothing, no mechanisms to support any of his claims. Not that there were not flood myths before the story of Noah was written, hope that clears it up,l.

Are you following the ages and lifespans according to Septuagintal Genesis or the Masoretic Genesis ? The Septuagint seems more accurate.

@@BKNeifertnothing I heard stated in the video is actual evidence for a global flood. Some evidence of floods happening in the past, but that doesn’t mean world wide flood. The whole long life thing was extremely common to exaggerate the life of rulers so it is not a stretch to think the Jewish people who wrote those genealogies didn’t just borrow what people are used to seeing. How did those people live longer? What was different about their cellular structure that they could live longer? Hence no mechanism for longer life was even hinted at, just trust the book and taking a known genetic bottleneck out of context. But again I could be wrong and you could tell me what you thought was compelling, I do like to learn.

@@lubrew5862 Well, it's more inductive what he's talking about. How do ancients know about Quadratic decline? It's one thing... it's not going to prove anything, until you put all the other evidence together. It's like, one piece of evidence is never enough to fully satisfy a conclusion, but 1,000 pieces, that's hard to ignore. Like I was just listening to a guy say that they've found evidence of sea fossils at the top of Everest. And the other thing he said, about the fossil plain, is pretty suspicious, too.
