After graduation, when I went back to my unit, on that day there happen to be a battalion 5 mile run. The new second lieutenant running next to me heard me huffing and puffing and asked "why are you in recon if you can't handle a 5 mile run at this slow pace?" I had lost 25 pounds of muscle and I was still mentally lost in zombie mode. Someone else told him why, and he just turned red and went silent. I remember thinking the entire episode was funny. But mostly I wanted a sandwich.

I’m 14 what are the best things I can do to prepare for the things that you saw the most people quit
@brockmorris876411 ай бұрын
@@DaneBraunecker-n5gfocus on building a base of running, I’d say run 3 miles a day 5 days a week, ask your mom to order you a ranger handbook, learn your troop leading procedures from it, and study it an hour a day at least one day a week. At 14 you have time, energy, and freedom of movement. Do something everyday to make yourself better. Start by making your bed every morning, asking your mom or dad, or whoever you live with what you can do to help them around the house and do it to perfection. Go above and beyond in everything you do, and you will be miles ahead of anybody else around you by the time you are 18 and deciding whether you’re gonna go to West Point, or enlist out of high school. Respond if you have any more questions.

Myles What are the requirements for the British Army?
@myles87477 жыл бұрын
dependent on the role, the hardest to get is the PARAs requiring run time of 9:40 for 1.5 miles, 2.4km power bag lift to approx shoulder height 45kg and a jerry can carry of 120 meters. The role I'm going for 14 minute run 20kg lift and 60 meters carry but as I train to be best I can do all that which sit within para timing easily Hopefully to move into 16 air brigade a brigade which most of Airborne unit are which to join you have to do the para test later on down the line.

So i have a Nephew named Jacob that keeps asking questions about the Rangers for 13 hes on track so far but keeps asking me like i know what he needs to do to become a Ranger! My advice was to push yourself in endurance sports all year round in highscool and take his classes seriously to score high on his ASVAB test as well as Pt test then to join infantry go airborne and get Rasp in his contract as well as picking Ft Benning as his Duty stationing. Am i wrong or missing anything?

definitely very helpful and informative.. I am joining the Air Force out of high school next school year.. the plan is to pursue CCT. its just something i've always been interested in and driven towards.. The pipeline for CCT has a very high drop-out rate. which is reason for concern for me, because i have always struggled with gaining mass (muscle "general" weight) and have earned the title of "hardgainer". long story short. Nick Bare, your videos and your story has been an inspiration and motivation to me and my training, and i just wanted to let you know that i appreciate all that you have done and do.
