Dawn will transform England into a real powerhouse. The women’s game in England (and France) on a professional level is already growing leaps and bounds while the NWSL is being hamstrung by male team owners and the male dominated federation. Women’s clubs in England and France are starting to play in front of 30,000 plus fans. That is at the club level not just the national team. Europeans are investing while the US is not. US women are being held back. US dominance is coming to an end but most USWNT fans who don’t understand the game globally are in denial about it.
@theatremaiden5 жыл бұрын
Ryann losing Dawn is absolutely gut wrenching. I will say I am less concerned about England particularly if they keep Neville because he seems likely to not give up power. Happy for Dawn if it helps her grow, but completely our loss for not realizing what she contributed to this team and our success.

Great Start for Manager/Coach Vlatko . One point to make, Coach need to adjust & adapt the formation on the pitch as soon as he notice the opponent domination(i.e. Spain), midfield, defense & front line. Be quick, do not hesitate.

1) I think she was looking around for a new challenge after Jill 'Useless and Dreary' Ellis left. Dawn was an integral part of Team Jill. Her English soul sister. 2) I would guess, the english FA made her a very decent financial offer. 3) A chance for her to be closer to her mum and sister, and wider family.

@@kitoffour5783 I mean how would it be the biggest mistake of his life. Seems very hyperbolic. I'm genuinely asking. Is there a soccer argument to why it would be a mistake, or is it a post like "If we don't start Lloyd and Press every game, we will lose the 2019 world cup" argument - not very fruitful.

The USWNT is the 2-time defending FIFAWWC CHAMPIONS. **Great** But that was yesterday. Today they must start all over again. Create a NEW championship team dynamic -- for the coming Summer Olympic in Japan, and the next FIFAWWC. "THAT MUST BE THEIR MINDSET"

Interesting that when Pia went to coach Sweden we got beat in the Olympics. Now we have Dawn Scott going to England and more than likely they will have an edge in the strength and fitness department. The fact we are going to the Olympics not only with Pia now the coach of Brazil we also have lost our strength and fitness coach to England will it be Deja Vu all over again. Don't forget we also lost Tony Gustavson who also played a vital role in this past 2019 World Cup
@jnwest85855 жыл бұрын
I have tried to make this point to other USWNT fans but I was called xenophobic. The USWNT institutional knowledge is being shared with other nations eroding our edge. Pia improved Sweden’s fitness and will do the same with Brazil. Dawn will do the same with England. Sermani also improved the Aussies or Kiwis? Can’t remember which country. The new head coach will do the same when he leaves.

Jill Ellis needed to go. She alienated Carli Lloyd by playing her garbage minutes at the WWC. Carli has been in full form since Ellis quit. Carli should be starting and C Press if Heath or Pinoe are hurt. They don’t need Morgan to win the Olympics. Unlike 2016 Carli has plenty of help Rose Press Tobin Pinoe Mewis and young Williams
