This was my blog puzzle from last week, which was pretty hard for a Monday. Many of the commenters hadn't understood bus, but your explanation is the one I used. Everything else is pretty straightforward.

I got 6- and 17-down before David (although using the letters he got already), but the other ones were certainly beyond me. Good solve as always!

Enjoyed this, as usual. A great solve in the face of, for me at least, a few unusual words. Clankingly is being underlined in red by my disapproving browser as I type this comment. I had always thought that the plural of opus was opera, though as both the dictionary and my browser see no problem with opuses, it seems that I'm outvoted on this one.

If you were surprised that there are two plurals of "opus" then wait until you hear about "octopus"!
