cant believe i found this. i was 15 and in the second row for this very concert and still say its the best concert i have ever seen. after seeing this show i saved all my pocket money (and with a little help from my oldman) and went and bought a white usa strat with maple neck just like his, and its still my number 1 guitar today. many many thanks for putting this up. EC still number 1.

Didn’t know he was still playing this song in the mid 90s. I had only seen live versions in 86 or 87. Thanks for posting this rare performance!

Sorry pal. I'm as big a Clapton fan as anyone. He's deteriorating. Has been for a few years now. Saw him 15 times going on 16. The last 2 shows were not worth those outrageous prices of admission. They were mediocre. And it hurts me to say that. But facts are facts. He's still "Da Man" though.

All along, had to talk about it, Like a two-edged sword, he touched you and it stabs me All along, knew you were a phony girl, Sit behind the mask where you control your world Yesterday he had you in his arms When I'm holding you, I feel his bitter charms I can't judge what you do to me Camoflage the truth, indulge your fantasy Who do you love? Is it me now, is it him babe? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me babe, is it him now? I don't know There is nothing in your eyes that's the way you cry All is grand, all is bright You're just studying my mind There is nothing in your eyes that's the way you cry All is grand, all is bright You're just studying my mind Was I invited to your masquerade? Well the party's over so now take off your face You say you love, but it's hard to see When you're in his arms, throwing rocks at me I walk around suffering in my doom When I come to you, you're sitting in your room The truth is news, I have longed to trace So take off the mask so I can see your face Who do you love? Is it me baby, is it him now? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me babe, is it him baby? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me babe, is it him now? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me now, is it him baby? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me baby, is it him now? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me baby, is it him now? I don't know Who do you love? Is it me baby, is it him? I want to know Who do you love?

@@luise.arista125it's one of his biggest songs of the 80s. Has a real 80s cheesy sync which sounded cheesy as f in the late 90s and 00s. But is cool again now. Check out the version from Princes Trust concert with all star line up. Also Michael Jackson wrote the lyrics for this and his version was meant to be on the Thriller album but was rejected. It's originally a some from some mad Japanese disco/ Kraftwerk trow band from 1979
@luise.arista1252 ай бұрын
@@jbawn WOW, thanks for sharing all of this. I thought I knew Clapton from the 80's, but I completely missed this one. Now I'm reading the whole story: it was written by Ryuchi Sakamoto's band, MJ wrote some words, Greg Phillinganes recorded it and eventually suggested Clapton to make a version. I'm reading it wasn't performed very often after the 80's, so it was a real gift to seeing it live yesterday (he also played Believe in Life, a first-timer, according to setlist.fm).

Christ the brass detracts from this great song. Not supposed to be a feel-good number.

This version has no pop to it. Needs Midge Ure and Mark Hill.

This version blows the pop crap version away! Comparing Clapton to those dopes is as n insult!
