Obviously the original has a special place and everyone's heart, but dream warriors has always been my favorite in the franchise.

Dream Warriors definitely managed to open up the movie's environment without sacrificing the horror and tension which is rare, such a great idea to have the last kids of Elm Street or Springwood all in hospital. I also like the added mythology for Freddy and the cast has great chemistry and works well. Overall a solid sequel. Even though Freddy's Revenge has no real connection to 1 & 3 story wise, I think the first 3 parts are the best and make a great trilogy of horror, with 3 being an awesome ending. Fun fact. Penelope Sudrow is the daughter of actor Lyle who starred on both the radio and television versions of the soap opera Guiding Light and Brooke Bundy was also in a soap opera - General Hospital. There a quite a few soap actors who did horror films back in the 70's and 80's.

The first horror con I went to was MonsterMania in 2010. I got to meet Ira Heiden, Ken Sagoes, Brook Bundy, Jennifer Rubins, Rodney Eastman, John Saxon and Heather Langenkamp and of course Robert Englund. It was so amazing. Ira remembered me and my dad the entire weekend, and these people were so gracious and kind and I’ve never been so in love with a cast from a movie I adored.

Gonna ramble! ... The unmodulated voice of Robert to Freddy may or may nor have been on purpose. I remember an interview where Robert claimed they wanted his voice kind of all over the place because (it's a dream, after all.) Even when modulated, the pitch varied from line to line - giving it a surreal effect - a non-corporal state. This is what Wes wanted in the first film as well. only visually as well as audibly. Remember - Freddy is a dream - a ghost - a spirit before anything else. When you dream, sounds, visuals aren't quite right. They're distorted, exaggerated or minimized, even out of sync from what is being perceived. There are times when inanimate objects take on living aspects and people from memory take on completely different roles. This actually made Freddy scarier, in many ways. Also - Freddy (at least in the first film) had a knack for "poltergeisting" his way into the real world. Over the franchise, the whole Ghostly, spectral Freddy faded, got watered-down, and he became more of a corporeal being with his jests and one-liners. Personally, I prefer a more scary Freddy, a blurred, phantasm - a creepy menacing shadow - Dark, vile and less corporeal. The supernatural element gives way to black comedy. Normally I'm a movie fan that arbores CGI effects, but in the case of a Nightmare on Elm Street movies, CGI done right, could make Freddy work to this Supernatural advantage - and is why Robert really should reprise his role (if there is going to be a new one) age wouldn't matter. He still has the voice. He can get in those close-up easily. In fact, he's the right age to play the character considering Freddy is suppose to be this "dirty mean old man." Don't know why they made him so young in the later Franchise. I'd say Robert is at the perfect age. Let stunt people, CGI and special effects ingenuity be Freddy - and let Robert come in for a few nice bits - and we'd have a great show.

oh god i remember back in the late eighties what Queensland was like regarding popular culture especially horror - not that it affected me as i lived in NSW so i got to see nightmare 3 almost straight away (I was only 13 at the time so i had to wait till VHS which was fine as my local "Video Ezy" had a cute guy behind the counter who i think liked me so he let me rent what ever the hell I wanted)..... whereas i'm one of those that kinda likes nightmare 2 - it was in fact the very first of the series i ever saw for some reason so i really enjoyed it.... of course then i hurried out to rent nightmare 1 (thanks Video Ezy guy) and i realised what i was missing..... but obviously when i saw 3 i was blown away.... the next year I got to see my first one on the big screen with part 4 at the good old Hoyts on George Street.... man i miss those years

I’ve always wondered how they did Phillip’s death. Like what were the tendons connected to?
@RetroReAX4 ай бұрын
Was pt. 4 ever released for this series?
@harrykalb11873 ай бұрын
Phillip's dream death is chilling because it translates to the real world as something that could actually happen and be witnessed. (Sleepwalking fall) The same applies to ones like Rod and Sheila. (Suicide by hanging, fatal asthma attack) Too many of the kills in the franchise just happen in the dreams for creative/visual/fantastical flair with no tie-ins back to reality and how the person actually died. It would have worked better had they actually found Taryn dead from an OD (as tboigh she had relapsed) Debbie on her weight bench crushed (like a bug) under too much barbell weight Greta choked to death on some food (as though she had gone on a late njght binge. Maybe even Carlos bleeding from his ears (as though his hearing aid had someehow malfunctioned horribly and electrocuted him).

I like that HEATHER was being a voice to help ensure good treatment of the cast 😀 but at the same time, they're getting paid, and if i was a passionate actor, i would put up with a heck of a lot from the director, but at the same time, i wouldn't hesitate to approach with any particularly great ideas I'd feel could contribute to the completed vision/project !

"The hero" refers to a prop that is considered the most detailed and film ready, you usually end up seeing said prop the most often in a film or show.
