i love this video idea… We always see them disc golfing in the craziest places, why not get to see the actual place! Really cool stuff.

Yeah, the smart move is making it about the players/lifestyle. Fans know the golf side, but the value to the player is to get the fans knowing them on a more personal level.

I believe that the way you're handling the recent shift in Disc Golf is what will make you a household name in sports in general (get the pun...General!). You're taking your Course Previews and your Tourney Prep and Process the same way you hunger for the Trophy...it's like you see the Future of DG and desire to lead the way. Keep the content rolling Ricky and always strive for that 'next' level in everything you do in life! Don't think outside of the box...CREATE THE BOX in the NEW Norm! P.S. maybe search top end 'distance mics' to capture your Tourney moments on camera!

Love this style of video, the behind the scenes is great. Hope to see a couple course previews for worlds, Rick! I think you have the best course preview videos on KZbin. A lot of people do them and it feels like they’re just talking to themselves or to the person they’re playing with and it’s not really engaging (cough… Ezra…. Cough) :), but you have a way of having that out loud internal dialogue about your thought process, but it still feels like you’re also talking to your audience. You’re doing a great job with them, hope you keep em coming!! Shouts to Joey as well for asking questions to keep the conversation going and bringing up stuff like the pre round routine that is great info. He does a great job behind the camera.

I am kind of blown away by how many Europeans, who's countries have a unique and native language, will not only speak english, but speak it quite well. It's kinda crazy especially when compared to how few Americans can speak a 2nd language. Not to mention how many Americans can't speak with proper grammar.

It probably wouldn’t work too well, because it is a steep drop from the tee and then goes uphill a lot.

Yes. Eagle did. It's on some footage somewhere. He landed on the middle road and tried to go up it. Was pretty, but not a huge distance shot.

TRUE! The DGPT & the PDGA are completely incompetent. Disc golf is not successful, here are a few reasons why: players, sponsored by disc manufacturers, make millions of dollars while tournaments, sponsored by the same manufacturers, pay out peanuts! It MUST be the other way around. Disc golf manufacturers don’t have professional courses that are designed for spectators and professional camera crews. Announcers never (rarely ever) mention the disc thrown or its specific weight. Announcers are not experts in announcing! Players carry too many discs. There must be a limit and discs must be weighed before each tour event. Baskets and tee pads vary from tournament to tournament. There must be a standard basket and tee pad. The adverts under the basket, those MUST PROMPTLY AND PERMANENTLY BE REMOVED!!! FLAGS ON TOP OF EVERY BASKET SHOULD BE MANDATORY! There are no (almost none) major outside sponsors of tournaments. These are some major problems. Before the tour can attract major sponsors (soft drinks, alcohol, automobile, jewelry, etc.) there must be viewership. In order to increase interest in the sport, pay outs must be much higher. Macbeth got 7 “million$”! That’s “70” 100,000$ payouts! That’s “1” player contract!!! Players need to “earn” their money by winning. Then they can eventually be sponsored by clothing, automobile, alcohol, soft drink etc, manufacturers or other outside sponsors. Viewers and fans of disc golf must demand that all these and more steps be taken to push our sport to the level it deserves to be at.

Exactly....stop funneling all the pdga fees to one region (Georgia)and have them chip in on A tiers and higher instead!
