Go behind-the-scenes of ‪@RoadshowPBS‬ with us during the Roadshow's recent Omaha taping and visit The Sutton House in McCook to learn the story behind Roadshow Exec. Producer Marsha Bemko's favorite 2004 Nebraska appraisal.
During Antiques Roadshow’s return visit to Omaha, we were given a backstage pass to record a behind-the-scenes documentary on the popular ‪@PBS‬ series. Taped over the course of two days, we had complete access to the Roadshow crew, appraisers, and guests. See what it takes to make America’s original treasure hunting show. Then, get an update on Executive Producer Marsh Bemko’s favorite appraisal from the Roadshow’s first visit to Omaha in 2004. When Patty Cordell and her sister, Stephanie Hurst, brought their family heirlooms for appraisal, they hoped but never dreamed they’d have an American treasure.

The Sutton House story was so interesting and emotional too, even for the viewers. I loved the gorgeous home and knowing it will remain for future generations to enjoy.

How incredible to actually meet the artist of your painting by sheer chance at the Roadshow! I'm so happy he signed it, too!

i love everything about antiques roadshow! it makes me so happy everytime a new episode gets announced and i stay happy at least until i finish watching it and sometimes quite a while longer. but i've applied soooo many times for tickets, but i never get called. i have something that could be the main feature of an episode, but i never get picked. total bummer! but i still love the show!

I so understand the lady that said, "And now I know." I have a painting of little value, but can't find the story about it. I've seen similar paintings of the same subject by the same artist that were on Ebay, but the art professor at a university here in town said it was a painting, not a print. I want to know the story behind these paintings.

It’s funny how they say the appraisers does it for free. They have first dibs and can be off on their estimate benefiting the appraiser?

Wouldn’t work for someone who says they don’t “touch dirty.” It’s disrespectful to those doing the job and if you aren’t willing to put in work at any level, it means you don’t care.

The US version of 'Antiques Roadshow' is a total sham. There is nothing about the history of the objects nor the background; it's all just about money. The owners of the 'antiques' don't seem to 'give a monkey's' (as we say) as to the 'background' of the objects. It's as if they don't give a damn what it is, just what it's worth. Go to 'Antiques Roadshow', the 'UK original' and see what it was actually meant to be.

I like the American version better. The more emotional. When I watch the British one there’s no emotion on their faces or bodies. And it’s very boring
