His love for Chelsea distorted his managing trajectory in my opinion. He did great at Derby, nearly got them up and then Chelsea called which he couldn't say no to, which perhaps was step too big (even though 19-20 season wasn't bad at all, the shortcomings could be seen). I don't know if he'll come back, but his work ethic and love for the game certainly can't be questioned. What a player he was, proper legend.

I remember when John Obi joined as i had aready been watching Chelsea since 1978 and loved the clubs rise under ken bates with VIALLI,GULLIT,ZOLA,DESIALLY and then when Don ROMAN he upped the levels we was on par with the worlds best, very happy days indeed, I really am sad with what Clearlake have done to our club turning it into an experiment which after 2 seasons has not worked and after a terrible pre season we now fear the 3rd season under clearlake with a team full of kids and no experience.
