Luminous looks to be a fantastic show! And for those of you who work on “Harmonious”, my family loved it! I’ve seen most of the World Showcase night time shows, going all the way back to the beginning and they all have been wonderful! You all put so much planning and effort into them. @@piratestardust One of the best parts of Harmonious was the multi-language version of the Moana song “How Far I’ll Go”. And we were delighted that at Disneyland (our home park) they would play it in the esplanade area between Disneyland and California Adventure. I wish when Disney ended these shows or parades they didn’t just throw out the great music and songs. They should play them within these open areas, like Disney Springs, Downtown Disney. etc.

I’m no Epcot purist but I will always root for Disney when they understand the overarching themes of Epcot. I hope this show is more than just Disney music. You have Magic Kingdom for that.

Illuminations:ROE, for me, was the very soul of EPCOT. That is the very reason it ran for two decades. It was more than just a pretty show. It was a show about humanity and its positivity pole volumes then, and it's the kind of message that we need today.

@@RennFoole Agreed, illuminations basically tied the whole park’s thesis into a final good night reminder to guests. It just made the entire EPCOT experience feel whole. Imagine starting your day at Spaceship Earth, then go through each pavilion and winding down at each country. Then boom, let’s celebrate humanity with message of hope as everyone gathers around the lagoon. It was perfect.

They haven't. The barges for this show still sit in the lagoon 80% of the time. And Harmonious was a vastly better and more entertaining show than this snooze fest.

This definitely feels like Illuminations and Harmonious had a baby. In the little pieces of the soundtrack we’ve heard, the name, and the production design. Hopefully it’s the best of both and ties the IP into the roots of Epcot.

I saw this show in may 2024. It was just OK. The « welcome » in multi languages is cool. But that’s all. Illuminations : reflections of earth was so unique, so emotional. A modern version, updated version of Illuminations but with the same music, the same spirit, a new globe, without movies would be perfect 👌🌎

It looks like it's the same view no matter where you are around the lagoon. I wish they had done this somehow with Harmonious as there was really only 2 good places to watch (Port of Entry and near the Japan/US pavilions). Hopefully you can just watch it from wherever and get the same amazing show.

Unlike Hideous, the view should be good all the way around the lagoon. I would venture to say that if you had a favorite spot for Illuminations: ROE, then it will likely be good for Luminous. Something to consider right now........ through the Christmas season, the view up front between the twin gift shops will be somewhat obstructed due to the stage for Joyful.

It's ok. But is it better then Illuminations: Reflections of Earth? I honestly don't know. But 100 percent better than Harmonious I suppose. More looking forward to what happens to the Journey Into Imagination Pavilion! That needs a complete overhaul, As a Figment Fan. I am waiting to see what could be done. But also worried but trying to look foward to what the future might hold. :)

The lighting, effects, and fireworks were absolutely stunning in this show. I'm disappointed with the soundtrack, though. It is way too saturated with branded Disney movie music, sounds out of place, and messy. It did not capture the essence of Epcot at all. I would have loved to see them fix that mistake from Harmonious and integrate music and themes from cultures around the world. As much as it is visually beautiful, this show is a no for me. But I hope other people enjoy it.
