What are your favorite places to shoot macros in landscape photography?

Along the sides of trails up in the mountains. Wildflowers grow like crazy.

Absolutely! I was on a trail in the Smokies a few weeks ago and the entire side of the trail was white with wildflowers. Stunning to see.

Flood plains with Bluebells and Trilliums or pine forests with mushrooms. How do I count the places...too many!

Thank you for visiting the Desert Botanical Gardens! It's one of my favorite locations for those of us who can't do long hikes. The variety of cacti is amazing as well as the birds, butterflies and other creatures who inhabit this beautiful location. I now have some new ideas to try the next time I visit - thanks!

i go to the DBG 3-4X each spring - even though i also have a yard fullof those golden barrel cacti, prickly pears with different colored blossoms, and of course the scarlet red claret cup hedgehogs; but the garden has so much more i can't resist. hopr your Weaver's Needle shots turned out well, that's a fairly good slog up the Peralta trail, tooo much now for these old bones!

Great clicks and good video! The AutoFocus on the video camera seems little janky. Maybe try manual focus next time! Keep up the good work! :)

Not a stupid question at all! I think I tried it once. Obviously it didn’t make a big impact on me haha
