You should make a video about all the things you can do with a CAA degree. Ex sales, education, administration etc

i agree! had my first day as an anesthesia tech today and a crna asked me why AA school because “it’s so limited” (what states and what areas you can work in) which i don’t think is completely true but i’d love to know more!

@@tyannajones3265 Thank you Tyanna! The process was pretty smooth as far as applying went. I just submitted my application through CASAA, then took the CASPer test and waited for the invite to interview. The interview process was great and low stress, it mainly felt like the staff just wanted to get to know me as a person rather than just another student.

Thank you for this informative video! In one of your videos, I'd love to hear about how you prevent medical errors and how you deal with the stress of those possible medical errors. That is what I find terrifying about considering a job in anesthesia!

How do you feel about salary transparency / contract negotiation? As a hopeful future CAA I wouldn't wanna fall short, but if you made a Q&A vid discussing negotiation and transparency then disregard this! Likewise, do you plan on teaching in the future? I'd like to settle down after a few years of clinic work and focus more on being faculty; regardless, thanks for all you do! :)

Have you ever had the power go out? The reason why I ask is because when I worked in the NICU as an RN, we had the power go out one afternoon due to construction. Everyone in the unit grabbed a bag to ventilate the patient manual. We stood there for almost an hour. The generators didn't go on. We had monitors because they had functional batteries. Everyone was calm. We kept our eyes on the patient, watching perfusion and the pressure gauge. We didn't even have suction. Nothing terrible happened and no one had any emergencies. Looking back, it was unbelievable. I remember thinking, "well, I guess I'll be here bagging for the rest of my shift and if this happens, then I'll be here bagging all day." Heck, who needs antibiotics given on time when your priority is oxygenation? What an experience!

This has happened at my hospital but the backup generators worked thankfully! It delayed any further surgery starts until the power was back on. And wow that credits to you all for working through that!

How long did it take you to get to this career like how many months or years. . Also I heard you don't have to get your high-school diploma to get an aa and or a bachelors. Also I found on Google that it would take at least 1 to two years for this degree so im really not sure. I read that itll take 2 years for an AA an then read other sources itll take 1 year for aa and 1 for a bachelors... Also is it possible to take night school? Or any of it if you need to get caught up. Also how many hours a day and or a week did you have to put in to studying. Thank you BTW all your videos are super helpful it's taken me time to finish them because I'm super busy during the day haha

kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Ooooqtm9-qfLc The data shows how safe CAAs are compared to CRNAs in the ACT model, and there are no statistically significant differences in safety. I would trust CAAs with myself or a family member, but I respect your stance :)

I would never want a CRNA practicing independently to provide my anesthetic. Anesthesiologists are the top dog and lead the anesthesia care team

Hi that was a very interesting video. I am allergic to succinylcholine, I found this out after they saw my eyes were not opening after the anesthesia was wearing off. I was a little concern when I could hear my surgeon telling me they were going to give me a needle and my eyes should open up so they can take the tubes out of my throat which I was gaging on them. Do a lot of patients that you see have this also? Thank you David
@CAALifestyle
@CAALifestyle 2 ай бұрын
Succinylcholine (a paralytic) usually wears off quickly unless someone has a pseudocholinesterase deficiency! In those cases patients metabolize the medication slower, which can explain an inability to open one’s eyes. I hope you feel better after your experience and I hope this information helps.
