Thank you for taking time and making these videos. Recently learning how to cook for myself. Everytime i cook either im addidng to many spices or im not cooking the spices. As my food taste just too bitter, I wonder why is that you mate ? But i have just discovered ur channel will have a look at more of ur vids

Hey thanks so much and appreciate it. The points you’ve raised could be the reasons of of the bitter taste as well if you over cook/burn the spices. Definitely watch my tutorials which i hope you will find useful and am confident you will be able replicate it without any issues and enjoy those curries 🤤🤤🤤 When cooking BIR your base gravy and mix powder are very important, so Check those videos. Welcome aboard and Enjoy the journey mate 🙌🙌

You should do more of these they're really interesting thanks. But please ditch the music it just ruins the experience, I want to hear all the cooking noises. Also what is that little bit of liquid they put in the vindaloo and veg curry at the end. Is it spiced oil?
@TheBengaliCook
@TheBengaliCook 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot buddy, yeah defo the music supposed to be only at the beginning and end, cowboy error with late night editing. The rice dishes the chef added butter ghee towards the end and for the curries I think it was just extra veg oil but personally would add some butter ghee. Appreciate your and thanks again 🙌

Hey Carl, appreciate you asking and please keep them coming. Can you clarify what recipe you would like, is it a recipe to cook onions and peepers or a dish that includes onion and peppers like a Jalfrezi/Dupiza? Below is a video of how to cook service onion and you can add some peppers. Look forward to hearing back kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJrIeXaHncxqjM0

Hi Carl, Lamb Biryani that will be delicious. Here’s a recipe that I would follow to pre cook the lamb, I haven’t done a specific video for it but generally it’s cooked like this anyway. Adjust chilli powder to your taste. Enjoy 🙌 kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnyofWOcrZd-pas

I’d like to know of your base gravy is also used in tandoori Butter chicken? This is so popular right now. I’d love to see you do a video on this and we appreciate your vast knowledge. Until Pat Chapman, who founded the curry club in the 1960’s Brit’s had no idea how to replicate BIR style curries at home. Thankfully you are now adding to our knowledge.

@@30dettjimvg sure no worries mate, pots n pans mainly from Rajani’s unless I come across something decent in another shop. But Rajani have a great selection tbh, they also do spices, rice bags, oil, etc so also pick these up. Now for more fresh stuff like onions, garlic, spices, meat etc I use shops in Easton, St Marks road, Stapleton road, fishponds sometimes just depends which one is closer or the traffic lol also use the supermarket likes if Tesco, Morrison etc they also have good/better price and same brands, I think am finding myself using the supermarket more these days unless there something very specific I need.

What a stupid comment! How would you suggest they cook? Maybe they should pray for divine intervention to heat the pans eh Bernard
@CAsCurryKitchen

@@DiscusRussell well gas is not the most efficient way to cook. Induction would be better for efficiency and saving the planet. Although they'd have to ditch those aluminium pans as they wouldn't work with induction.

Wtf, maybe they should wait for the sun to heat the pans up then, yea?, I’ve never heard such a stupid comment, i suppose you live in a greenhouse with solar energy 🤣🤣🤣

@@CAsCurryKitchen Need gas for this type of cooking as you need to flambé most dishes cooked as will give it that distinct taste you get from a Quality BIR kitchen. This is not possible with induction. I'm all into saving the planet as I do regular beach cleans and also micro plastic beach cleaning
