Behind the Scenes of "The Great Lake Concerto"

𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵
Rehearsals for the Great Lake Concerto began after the first rehearsal was cancelled due to -32°F wind-chill. This whole project has been a sprint, with two rehearsals left until the premiere.
On the occasion that I am allotted the time, I like to compose while walking the dog (and it's not sub-zero out), singing into my phone. I then listen to the playback, orchestrate it on piano and then write it on paper. After that, I play/type it all in to @Dorico and orchestrate some more. After that is the work of editing, printing, corrections, and printing some more. It's a process, not an event
