The reason they didn't film this on the actual set is so they wouldn't have to worry about continuity while filming the fight scene and then the VFX team just added the dancing footage on the background

That's the best to do it because they knee they couldn't use the entire dance sequence, but at the same time you really won't know which parts of the dance to use until you're in the editing room with it and the fight scene footage in front of you.

The dancer in this role said that he was called about it in February of this year, which is way closer to the film's release than I was expecting. That means it was probably done in re-shoots. Most likely they had just the fight scene originally. So maybe that part was on location, and the dancing re-shoot was peppered in later.

@@jacobkieval6007 ive worked on numerous films. It doesnt take much to film on location. Even build a snowy forest on a sound stage. It literally takes more time adding CGI back ground
