SERE selection is no joke. I went through this past November and didn't make it through. Seriously considering going back though as soon as they let me.

@@NinjaGangSigns they gave me a dream sheet where I could put four jobs that I wanted. I didn’t get any of them.

Yeah from what I hear it is like 50/50 if you get your dreams jobs, it’s all about how they evaluate your skills and what the force needs

I’m going to meps soon. And SERE and Pararescue are at the top of list of jobs I want (if I qualify of course). But I’m afraid of swimming and jumping out the plane. I don’t want to limit myself and at least not TRY to accomplish my goals. But it’s just scary to me. I wish I could get past this feeling

It is possible to pass all the training and not be selected?

@CReyes112 Applicant that qualify are selected. Then you would attend Basic Military Training (BMT). Ray U.S. Air Force and Space Force Recruiting

@@USAirForceRecruiting thanks for the reply Ray. To clarify, I meant if they pass the SERE orientation course and apprentice course, can it be possible to still not be selected? I hear that there is an interview part that some people fail, while most drop out on the training pipeline.

I must be missing something, because this was all expected of us to figure out in Army Infantry OSUT. We didn't get any classes, we either got wet and cold when it was 29 degrees and raining or we were slightly dryer for having figuring this out for ourselves or learning from the guys who had been boy scouts. Sink or swim, and we were all the better for it. Creating shelter and digging trenches and mortar pits and machine gun emplacements and camouflaging them aren't even covered here. The Air Force has an entire afsc about what less than a quarter of our job was and they are considered AFSOC is laughable. Air Force MP's are also the worst; wearing combat shirts and plate carriers to check ID's at a gate lol. The Air Force really is in their own fantasy land smdh. Tacp's are cool though, they meet the Army standard and even get to use our mottos such as RLTW and the like. Otherwise, check yourself at the door. There's a reason they never entered infantry barracks and anyone that they needed, we would drag out to them in the parking lot. They knew better than to enter our house.
