Wilst it is difficult for riders from countries like the US and Australia to go through the feeder series required to make it to MotoGP it is still awesome to see America getting seriously involved in the sport after being absent for far too long. With the likes of Davide Brivio and Wilco Zeelenberg at the frontline of this team it bodes very well for them to enjoy success which in turn brings growth. Hopefully with the type of exposure this generates in The States it will spur on rider progression through backing of up and coming talent (like Iconic has done with Kensei) to enable them to compete on the world stage and make it through to MotoGP. Really looking forward to watching the progression of this team.

While I sincerely appreciate the effort, I am not really sure what is American here...neither rider is American...one is from Portugal and the other is from Spain, both fairly talented, but are we saying we could not find one(1) rider in the whole United States of America to ride one of these bikes?...not one kid in our whole country was good enough? When these two guys are on the grid or if they stand on the podium, they will not be sporting an American flag which is kind of the point of "America back in Moto GP". I know Rainey has been trying for years to find America's next "American" Champion without any success....kids in America want to ride motocross or do illegal wheelies in the street only unfortunately :( ....Aprilia is not American either....sigh...just the money is American I guess.

That’s fair but it has to start somewhere. Trackhouse had the opportunity to take over from RNF on an abbreviated schedule so they had to take what they could get. Who would you want to be the rider? I don’t think there is an American rider at this time who would be competitive, I think we’re a generation out and we need people like the young racer that we sponsor, Kensei Matsudaira. This is the first American company in years that’s getting involved in MotoGP, here’s hoping they inspire others!

@@IconicMotorbikes Understood, it is cool that anyone in the U.S with funding is willing to put that funding into Moto GP...and I am happy for that, even though it may sound like I am not. It's just that...when Nicky Hayden rode for Repsol Honda....or Factory Ducati, it was celebrated as an American victory, when it happened....an American Championship when it happened....not because of the funding, but because of the individual at the helm....the person in the seat. If/when these riders on the trackhouse team win or get podiums atleast, they won't be waving an American flag. They will be waving their own country's flag and rightfully so....that is the part that just does not make any sense. They will be riding bikes that have the American flag draped all over it, but they won't have their roots....their heart in the importance of that flag on the bike. I am not sure if that makes sense to everyone, I hope it does, but I guess it depends on how much America and that Star and Stripes flag matters to each individual. As far as who should be piloting an American bike, I thought when Wayne Rainey helped Moto America survive from the original AMA days, that was the point....that was the goal, but it was a failure in finding future American talent....Herrin, Beaubier, Gagne, etc....were just not good enough to fight overseas....and no one else was found. They need a Red Bull Rookies cup or and Asia Talent cup in this country with entries that were only available to American citizens....sponsors would need to be found of course because one major hurdle of all of it is/was funding (Trackhouse, Moto America, Iconic... :)....) Road racing for the average American family is just too expensive compared to motocross or other sports for kids to get into. Sportbikes are just getting more and more expensive to purchase each year, plus gear....so it is harder for younger people to get into....funding needed. Rossi created his school to get more Italian rider talent on the grid and now VR46 is everywhere throughout Moto GP at all levels. I wish someone with the ability and funding in America would do the same.

​@@IconicMotorbikes​​ Wow, I like that you've able to get the rendered Trackhouse Aprilia Gp bike to the Iconic Motorbikes show. Its great to see America somehow back in the World Championship with Trackhouse Racing being at the helm of the sport. What Americans need to do is to find a way to bring more talent to the sport through its feeder series. At the moment American Racing Moto2 team are the only one trying to the work. If only Rahal Moto expand to Moto3 & Moto2 team in the near future. That would be great. The more the merrier. As we now Justin Marx is also planning to get a Moto3 team if everything works good this year.
