I agree with the officials and Toronto Fleury his glove covered the line which is why you can't tell if it's across the line no evidence what's so ever. It made perfect sense to wave it off because I couldn't see the puck go across the line, because of Fleury's glove blocked the way of the line.

Now had it been ruled a goal, I think it would be just as difficult to reverse it. Definitely the correct call was made by Kelly Sutherland, one of the best referees in the NHL.

I was in Columbus when this happened to my jackets. It sucks really bad because you want your team to win, but looking back at it, the refs have such a hard job. Mad respect.

I mean I don't know why the caps fans are so salty in this video. A lot of the 'inconclusive calls' you can usually tell whether the puck would've crossed the line or not but just not 100%. Here I honestly have no idea. At least from the angles this video shows. You have to go with the call on the ice. That's an easy call for the video review

they need cameras on the goal posts facing each other. I've seen where the puck is in the back of the net with the goalie and players piled up and the goalie scoops it out of the net without the camera seeing the puck. a clear motion to remove the puck and seeing the puck shooting out of the blue should be a clear indication. but whatever, that's hockey.

why not just install a camera like just under the goal line (under the ice). that way you can definitely see if the puck crossed the line even if something/someone is on top of it? Hell, why not make the puck neon orange?

@@kevinfang4362 that would never work. Not all teams have the ice down permanently and it gets uninstalled after every season anyway. No matter how many cameras you have, there are times went you can’t tell if it completely crosses the goal line. Had he called it a goal, then you’d have to prove it crossed completely over the line without dispute or doubt and you have both here. As a Capitals fan, Kelly Sutherland and the NHL got this one right.

I'm not a true fan of hockey. But the only way I see for that puck to stop is if it hits the back of the glove (the side with the webbing) and the back of the glove was past the goal line. So idk.
