Watching it now. My husband and I are at that time in our lives where we'd like an adventure before we're pensioners!! We've done the wedding, buying a house, having children, illness, losing a job, losing our house, grief....and recovery. We fancy hiring a campervan, ferrying from Plymouth to Santander then driving to Portugal. I sew and can do upholstery, my husband is a carpenter/joiner (boat building) and is great at general DIY. We wouldn't want anything from you (maybe water) and an opportunity to experience your lifestyle and help out with any jobs that need doing (if we can physically do them).

We did Portsmouth to Santender and Bilbao via Britany ferries it is the best way to travel better then flying. My daughter Carissa who features at the end has inspired me to get a campervan and follow her out there. This is the year. Sara was the first person I spoke to when Carissa decided to come to Portugal and I have followed their journey along the way.

Saw the 'New Lives' show and obviously loved it. So interesting to see this behind the scenes footage. Had a bit of a 'moment' at the end of the broadcast version because my beloved Border Collie died recently and I hadn't realised your dog's name (not sure if it was mentioned) until Ben said goodbye.
