British Forces News was given exclusive behind the scenes access during Cheryl Cole's visit to Camp Bastion to film with soldiers for the Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain awards. The 28-year-old star's trip coincided with the 10th anniversary of British operations in the country and she said she was "delighted" to make the trip.

I like how it's called a theater, when did this term come into use? Was this term always used for describing a warzone or is this some sort of recent term to sensational stuff for the masses and make it seem less extreme, like saying insurgents instead of enemies or soldiers. A warzone isn't a theater, it's real life, and you get one life, and if you take a life or someone tries to take yours that can change your life forever, a few seconds can completely destroy your life or alter it significantly completely. A man getting shot in the so called "theater" isn't just a man getting shot, it sends ripple effects into their family, relatives, friends who love them, and it causes so much pain and hurt all around that it's just not worth it. I wish we could have peace. For both sides. But in the current state of the world I can see how unrealistic that may seem. But it's gotta be possible, right? What do they say though, for modern civilization more than half the time the world has been at war, right? Why is war so prevalent? In this day and age with technology, science, and education so far advanced how are we still fighting over something so futile as land or simple resources, aren't we past that? Or is real estate really that important?
