We need a behind the scenes of an ANZAC Class Frigate! It’s been so long since Defence made any content for those ships and I’d love to see some.

The Hobart class are probably too confidential, but seeing an ANZAC class would be awesome.

@@IC3XRthere’s nothing too confidential. Just about Everything about them can be found online….these videos are about recruiting. Not about anything else.

My brother was in the RAN in the 90s, all his mates use to lob and party out at our home, mum and dad use to hire swags, get pigs on spits, hire juke box's, went all out to make the boys feel at home. Anyone remember Jason, got killed in Singapore, those days.

There's something special about our sailors. I always felt comfortable and not judged etc when i met anyone from the navy. Unlike the army and Airforce, I mean the airforce had a lot of great people too, but it think because the army really need to be beefcakes that might be why, seems to be more bitchy moaners in the army too,

It’s going to take a lot more than a few videos to fix the recruitment mess the Navy and ADF find themselves in. It’s going to take years to change the attitude our younger generations feel towards ADF careers. Thanks to the previous CDF Angus Campbell and the complete culture change he drove and presided over our youth of today have better things to do. Putting up with DEI crap and woke mind virus is at the absolute bottom of today’s generation’s list. Who can blame them? As a father of young men and an ex RAN sailor, it’s nothing short of a disgrace that the ADF took this path. Listening to a group of fine young Australian men in their late teens discuss why they would never join is a sad blight on the status quo but completely understandable why they feel that way, but what isn’t understandable is why the ADF decided to go down that culture route in the first place? It’s not hard to see why recruitment is such a massive struggle but the Navy/ADF will continue on with their ‘head in the sand’ approach as if nothing is wrong,as per usual. Shame on them.
@christianpatton93646 ай бұрын
The ADF has made it abundantly clear that recruiting , promotion and internal job opportunities are based on considerations of identity politics and bigotry. Until the ADF apologises and goes back to a merit based system they will struggle with recruiting and public confidence. No sane person will sign up for an organisation where their life is on the line in harsh conditions when that organisation displays open hatred and contempt for the majority of potential recruits because of race , gender and sexual orientation. Why try and make a career in an organisation that hates you and will discriminate against you because of the body you were born in. Especially when that organisation displays their bigotry as a badge of honour.
