Join me for an interview with Doug Parker, program supervisor for Rocky Mountain National Park's trails program. Doug, shares with us what we can expect to find on the trails in 2024 as well as providing us with a behind the scenes look at all that the trails crew actually does.
This video is only a portion of a longer interview. The full interview goes more indepth on the work being done on the Green Mountain Trail, the Longs Peak Trail, the Bluebird Lake Trail as well as other subjects that I wasn't able to include in this shorter version of this video. The full interview can be found at this link: • Full Interview with Do... .

Thanks Matt. I agree. The work they do is often thankless and yet such a benefit for us all and for the natural world.

I've always marveled at the evidence of intensive work executed by the trail crews. From an array of huge rocks pieced together like a long puzzle to create a stretch to avoid erosion to multiple wheelbarrows full of gravel located miles into a trail for similar effect. They do such important work and do it well! Thanks so much for posting this interview; very interesting!

Great interview. I appreciate all of the hard work of these crews and say ‘thank you’ when I see them. I volunteer for maintenance of the AT and appreciate a thank you. I also totally agree that people need to stay on the trail especially on switchbacks
