That is just a matter of definition. Most in Finland would say that Estonia is a Baltic country with a Finnic people, which would be technically true. @steadyeddie27187 ай бұрын
Noone in the worlds thinks this, only Estonians. We're seen as part of Eastern Europe becuase we're next to Russia (i.e in East geographically) and we were part of the Soviet Union and the Russan Emprie before that (thus politically). You can't change this. The only way anyone's ever going to see us as 'Nordic' is if we actually become as economically successful as Sweden/Finland etc as well as adopt their democratic social values. But even then it's tricky. And we are far from being like Nordic countries. We're still poor, bigoted, corrupt, narrow minded, not much better that the scummy russians. The point is, you can't change other people's perception of your country by telling them off or by begging. By doing so you're just making yoursel and the entire country look pathetic - and even more Eastern European. So suck it up. (Ps. I'm an Estonian abroad, I know what people think and how this looks).

There really is no way of knowing. But there are referees who are supposed to step in and inform you that you are dead. They are the guys with blue tapes on them. They are "invisible". Sometimes even if you did everything right - they will give it to the opponents (many possible reasons why), so these things can get quite heated. In this case Estonians where already pulling back when the Brits where pushing in so there was no such stand off.
