Beyond devastating to see range was not improved for the stoke as that is the specification that needs it the most. Changing to modern 21700 cells would have done it but it sounds like you chose to stick with 18650's in 2022.

The stoke is a flight friendly board. I initially felt the same wanting more range but then its purpose is defeated. Double up on batteries is the only solution but they need to rework the swapping system so it’s genuinely quick swap like the exway wave.

I dipped my gtr bamboo in sea water for 30 sec and it survived. but the usb board was dead. Riding 2 hrs in heavy rain was fine but not recommended.

This is it!!! All problems are solved! Very nice!. I wanna try to ride on this new GTR with higher torque. Higher torque is very important & fun (acceleration) on any road conditions! Different motors ( brutally needed, hope the new ones are durable, can handle vibrations ), new motor controller, new remote ( no longer ULTRA light duty ). To not upgrade the range is insane.

My question is are the motors the same as on the Hadean? Basicly, is it as fast and does it accelerate the same as the Hadean? Being that the only difference to the Hadean is the board shape? Also has the Bamboo version gotten any constructional changes? I´ve broken 2 Bamboo GTR decks from the back coming off from small curbs.. the wear and tear gets to them I guess.

@@technohc4939 the lighstrip connects to the main board battery and it probably only uses at most about 5w. Its evolve's own light strip and its controlled with the controller.

@@KK001 that's good to know, I know it might not seem much but 5w is quite a bit of power, If you put a 5w resistor in a cup of water and powered it up that water would boil pretty quick I reckon I lose about 3kms of distance with the lights on full from my riding experience and there is also heat losses through the circuit board too. I want that all to be used by the motor to give me maximum range

Yeah I get you but since the hadean is almost the same size as the gtr (tiny bit wider) if they pack better batteries in it pushes the hadean out of the market. I reckon the new GTR will go up steepest street in the world now (Baldwin st) with those new upgrades, and just between u and me I reckon it will be perfect now for a mod or too... I'm talking a big external battery pack in center of board, or solar panel trailer a flexible 200w should do for that infinite ♾ ride... call it the "day - stalker 😜"

I have both Series 1 and Series 2 stoke, the Stoke doesn't have the upgraded motors, however, the power delivery is so much smoother, the braking is smooth but greater and there is no motor noise like the Series 1. Its feels faster and more refined.

I bought a GTR in May because I liked the GTX so much and wanted better range. But...the GTR overheats taking me home up a moderate San Francisco hill that the GTX had no trouble with. So 2 questions. Will the GTR series 2 do much better on such hills? And, is it possible to retrofit my new GTR to the Series 2 electronics and motors?

Just in case you don't get a reply from evolve, I've had both GTR and Hadean. I think the GTR 2 will be much better for hill climbs as the Hadean motors don't overheat and I've driven mine up steepest street in the world (Baldwin St). Saying all that even though it costs a small house the hadean is amazingly good, with range power, torque and speed, still small enough to get through narrow tracks and now that I've done almost 2500 ks and the battery capacity is reducing still can get 30-35 ish ks. Hope that helps a bit

I don't agree, if what they claim is true 1 of these things holds as much as 5 x 2170's as it hold 5x the energy, the physical size of 5x 2170's is much bigger than 1x 4680, again that's what they claim. If they can only fit half as many cells in they board because of size the board would still have 3 x power and range than the normal board with the 2170's. Which would be epic... one of these should be called the " Carbon Black Ultimate"

I think this was a good move Evolve. Looks like you got rid of the first gen GTR and raised the price by 200 bucks. I think this is well justified for a phase remote and more powerful motors. I’d like to see them come out with a new board that’s around 900 watt hours even it means a bit more weight and a bulkier deck.

No, it’s still a 10s battery. That 6000w power rating is only what the motors are capable of, neither board is actually touching 6000w, the gtr is only like 1300w at full charge.

I was very upset, but unlike the GTR of the first generation, the GTR 2 Carbon has communication problems with the remote control in big cities. The engineers miscalculated. And it's not just my problem. A lot of guys complain about it… You have to recall boards all over the world. I almost crashed because of the loss of communication. Switching back to the first GTR…

Ahhh but you forget, the Exway atlas is not designed to make you fly like superman see one of evolves old GTR perks is the build in flying feature 😉 however to my knowledge the GT was one of the original boards you could get then others saw their design and tweaked it a bit, then they brought out the GTR and many brands got one looked at design and built their own cheaper... if one company built a hoverboard you can bet other companies would then see how it was made and then make it cheaper and maybe even better... I bet the phase remote will be copied soon that thing can take a beating and it's the only one of its kind atm

Although from what I see the range of the atlas is 34 kms (with the 160mm wheels) hadean is 40+ kms for a 85kg rider with 7inch wheels (I've done that myself) battery size is similar too 700ish Wh's from what I saw. Ideally I'd want a board that is the same size as the Hadean/ atlas with 2x 3000w motors or more which can do 100+ km so I can do overnight offroading adventures 😀, one can dream... I can say as someone coming up to 2500ks on his hadean it's working well and only lost about 5 ks of range on battery capacity so far

That would be 10 miles. 16 is in kilometers. This “upgrade” is useless. 10 mile range going the slowest speed. They always calculate ranges on the lower settings. So in reality, you are getting about 6 to 7 miles going the fastest.

All these specs are jokes compared to your direct competitors. I am riding the meepo Hurricane for one year now with 60 km range and 50 km/h top speed and I paid 1299$ And all other 'China' - Board Brands already evolved faster than you. If somebody wants to ride Premium Boards with good customer Service in their country, I predict most people will go with ONSRA in the future. Sorry evolve...
