Another great thing to do is to mentally prepare yourself for falls. Obviously, this isn't something you can physically practice much as the aim is to ride safely and avoid accidents. However, going through some imagined scenarios can really make the difference in avoiding injury when you inevitably do fall. Maintaining an awareness of how confident you are to catch yourself on your feet at different speeds or when you've passed that point, how you might try to roll, where you might try to control your fall in various places (especially if they seem riskier), how you will avoid striking your head, or avoid extending your arms to catch yourself in a way that could break your collar bone. Maintaining good bodily fitness and mobility is part of this as well. Some people might think these kinds of mental projections are tempting fate, but it's just the opposite. It's saved me in scrapes that could have been a helluva lot nastier. Doing this means you won't as much risk becoming too complacent or lazy, and will probably avoid more risky riding than you otherwise would have been aware of, preventing the chances and incidences of stacks and injuries. A good fall is the one you saw coming and avoided, or failing that, can walk away from with pride.

Hello Nick, I purchased a Carbon GT on Feb 2019, this was during your company’s transitions to the new GTR. I am 59 years old and I ride constantly. As I was testing the increase in speed I experienced the wobbles which I over came by changing the front trucks to MBS trucks which measured 15 inches in front and the standard 13 inches on the rear. I noticed a change in the manufacturing of the wheels, they vary, and with variance plus speed can also affect how stable the ride can be. So with my change I have yet to worry on how stable the ride has to be, since I have a larger area on the front which makes the ride smoother. Food for thought, as an older aged person I have respect and control for this board. With my mode I am able to compensate for area surface without worries. Carbon GT with AT wheels. Evolve products I favor. See me ride, Just type Evolve Carbon GT with MBS trucks and see first hand.. It may increase the confidence with older aged riders!!

Lol they sent me a remote and the battery overheated so much it fried the circuit board. They sent me another remote and the trigger broke. I sent back the entire board then they charged me for the shipping they sent me and for the remote that was fried (I couldn't ship a dangerous battery). What a bunch of fuck heads

One more thing: we need mudguards asap, when riding on wet roads, I get like 4 fountains of 1.5 meters high.... My remote screen is full off dirt on the inside from these fountains.... So a sturdy and waterproof remote + mudguards and a decent cap for the loading port.

I seem to be the only rare breed that rides the board with front leg a bit over the edge and back foot a bit over the edge counter to the front leg.. gives so much more control and turning.. everybody else just seem to stand both feet at the middle of the board which I do not know how people can ever ride like that safely lol

Some great basics there, even for those that think they know what they are doing.i bought CGTR having never ridden anything before. So for new guys, start out slow, (i know you want to go fast !!!!) take your time and you wont break a collar bone. I did both of mine, never stopped me getting back on the horse. for the experienced guy, i won't teach you suck lemons. New guys if your if in doubt, ring team team. They are awesome and helped me heap, for an old fart.

@@ShadrikEaston huh? Got my OB Bamboo during a great sale before the pandemic and ended up being one of the unfortunates that got a shit battery. When my battery shit the bed I didn't get thrown, wheels didn't lock, just lost power. I had even fallen on my remote and used it as a skid puck (pro tip, use smart watch screen protectors on your remote screen) and no values got fucked. I'm not an Evolve hater (I'd really love to ride one the way y'all talk about how great they are) but the stories of people getting thrown would worry too much. Even them kinda admitting the remotes need to be recalibrated after any drop confirms the "conspiracy" to me.
