RSD products are definitely made to last. I started buying his products 4 years ago and he still never ceases to amaze me. The quality and style of all his products, from clutch levers to jackets, is the reason his company is to my opinion the most successful motorcycle company.

The interviewer was trying to get the mechanics or concrete answers about brand building but what came out to me is simply always working as an artist. If he's on KZbin or Facebook, he's just communicating how cool what he's doing is. It's like he acts like he's a small company, no big strategy, just doing what's right every day. People want quick hacks but maybe they just need to do what they love and stick around for a long time til they deserve to win. I'm giving this advice to myself as I'm writing it.

As Rod Stewart used to sing: "some guys have all the luck..." Roland Sands has the best occupation/hobby/job/business, all at once, in this world EVER, and in spite of the fact that he's "not a materialist", he has made lots of big money out of it and has an army of bikes of his own too!... darn. But pretty well deserved. His products have personality, are of great quality and taste, well thought, well designed and it is, ultimately, very hard to think about your own bike not sporting, at least, one of his unarguably tempting creations. If you can, never mind the price

My opinion, he’s brilliant, I saw some of his early builds at IMS Long Beach, badass. I introduced myself to him at Born Free years ago, humble friendly cat. Best thing, he loves all types of brands and styles. It don’t matter what you ride, as long as you ride! I ride CRF450X and a Sporty🇺🇸🤙🏻

Dudes definitely brilliant. He has people spending over 500 bucks on a riding jacket with not one single bit of leather on it.

I think RS is my favorite bike designer/builder and is definitely inspired me to get into bike building. I first saw him on Biker Build Off about 10 years ago and was wowed by his design, it was a whole new style, and it was a style that stuck. He still killing it today. He should have definitely won the competition vs Ness. Ness builds wacky artful designs but they aren't bikes I want to own or ride. RSD are bikes that I want to own and ride.
