Seen quite a few reactions to this and pretty sure you're the first person to call out the "Oh, yeah, off beat, wicked" line - which is one of my favourite bits.

I love how you talk about individual points of the performance and analyse it from a more musical perspective too. I am a moron when it comes to that stuff so I really appreciate it!

I love on the original Dark Side live album, right before the solo Tim says: "Everyone starts clapping there, but then I'm gonna play a solo and I can't keep time - so shut the f*** up!"

Wait til you see his songs WITH a full orchestra! Look up his concert at the Royal Albert Hall. It's several hours and includes a lot of the same songs you already have watched, and it's AMAZING.

Loved this reaction! I love this song, it definitely shows his genius on the piano and his energy. Tim does indeed have a dark side, if you listen to his newer album. He released an album called "Apart Together" last year. Some of the songs on the album are so sad and real, and honest. The album really floored me. As a fan of his, I highly recommend listening to the album to hear how different his music is compared to his comedy. So incredibly talented. Thank you so much for the reaction!

You should watch and/or review the "Rock and Roll Nerd" documentary about Tim. It is brilliant and also very moving in places. The last time I checked it was here on YT. It shows his humble beginnings of having no money and playing in empty bars to the start of his success with his wife by his side.

I've gotten hooked on your reactions recently since I found you through these Tim Minchin songs. He's one of my favorite artists and it's been great listening to your thoughts. Subbed. I also never really liked grunge much either, having been in high school during that period. My real first name is "Jeremy" so you can imagine how annoyed I got at the constant references to that Pearl Jam song.

Out of all the reactors that have done this song you are the only one to pic the Eddie Vedder impersonation so early. Some never get it! Btw my name is Jeremy so have always had an affinity with that song..and yes even though the subject is dark.

He self taught as well he is so smart. I’m proud his back home in Australia. He made it everywhere but the US I think. Cardinal pell is a good song about a pope that covered up wrong actions and now in jail. He wouldn’t come back foe trail. The Vatican didn’t appreciate the song but it’s true the Catholic Church covered it up.

This song is silly and serious at the same time. There's no way in hell you can play a piano like THAT if there isn't something genuine, some REAL emotions, behind it. Even if it's presented as a joke. And it IS a joke. But it also isn't.
