I wanted to play this so bad when I was younger. I had the cart, but didn't have the Super Scope. I remember letting the game play the attract screen, just so I could watch it.

The Battle Clash and Metal Combat games are probably the best games Nintendo has ever created in my eyes.
@shabustinkslol5 жыл бұрын
They really are hidden gems. I don't think many people know about them because they required the super scope, but they definitely rank up there as some of the best releases on the console. It's a shame they weren't more widely played or recognized.

Why does no one else know about this game? I grew up on this game, still one of my favorite games of all time. Beats the heck out of these uninspiring modern games easily. They just don't make them like they used to. I'd love to see this IP make a come back!

Fuck I loved this game so much. Brings me back to being a kid again. I read somewhere that the same lady who did this games music also did the music for Fire Emblem. I would love to meet her and get her autograph, she made such a huge impact on my childhood. Oh the NOSTALGIA!

I saw her in person at 25th FE concert and she is short and gorgeous. Nice to see her still involved with everything.

I remember this so well. I was directly in control. Blasting Garam to hell among the New York ruins felt so eery, and then that gothic-like music played. I knew I had found my first FPS game. Hooked on the genre ever since.

I just recently got a super scope so I could finally play this.Game is really fun, I like how you can blow parts of the enemy robots off during the fights. Music is good too,Its biggest weakness is its length,

***** There's a sequel, Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge. Weird title, great improvement on the mechanics of this game.
@xThucydides12 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I dont think the music could be quite the same, given that it would -have- to be some high end crap and not an awesome MIDI track - which is a shame, because the music in this game is simply amazing. But I would love to see the franchise make a come back as an on rails arcade shooter or something.

They need to make a remake of this in HD but keep the original soundtrack or add some stages or characters to smash bros or even as assist trophies

I like this game a lot, I remember playing it and when I finished it the first time, what a good feeling i had as a child. But then after beating it again it was mentioned we can play it with a hard difficulty. My mind was blown away. I never knew we could play the same game with a much harder difficulty (they move much faster, so much more charged beams, there is very little mercy ) I had a blast. For the hard difficulty, on the main screen we have to press on the second controller L+select
