i've had this pedal for about a year and a half now. and every other pedal i get, i just keep coming back to this one. its distortion tone is just so, in your face. love it!!

I bought it last week and i have to say, that its a really nice box. it gives you a heavy distortion and a feedback, that works on basses too! Compliments to Behringer!!!

@JoshStraitiff Well said. I have seen a little "movement" out there happening from seeing stuff on Craigslist like the Bugeras and B52s getting rewired and upgraded. Basically a new "modding" that just brings stuff up to spec. There's surely people out there doing this on their own with pedals and stuff, maybe stocking up on them just to learn modding on and if they mess up something oh well it's cheap hehe.

@CYBERNICK02 Honestly, I'd just get a pre-amp pedal or something. I find that with the bass at 10 and middle 10 wih no treble, you can get nice feedback(with your pickup selector set on bridge)

ok a question: can u feedback only a tone or can u feedback a whole riff? that shud be really awesome, to play for example a solo over your riff and that sort of stuff.

@TheSmyates Well, the guy here is using a valve amp which unfortunately do on the whole sound nicer than solidstate amps, Marshall or not. With the pedal's tone control fairly low, try setting all your amp's clean channel EQ to the middle and make little tweaks. I've got a solidstate backup Marshall amp too, you nearly always need to back off the treble loads on those things, and pump the middle and bass.

Nothing, but how many more pedals does the world need? You have any idea how many overdrive pedals ALONE there are?! These are great pedals because they are so much more affordable than the standard BOSS and MXR pedals they are based from.
@SuperUltra16 жыл бұрын
Most of what you said is true, but it has nothing to do with the strings. It's soundwaves that the pickups directly picks up... which is why there are feedback sweet spots. Satch used to mark the stage during sound check with gaffer tapes so he would walk over to those spots to get the best feedback.

@TheSmyates It's far more likely to be your amp; a cheap guitar with sound half-decent through a decent amp. What are you using? Try putting the tone control on zero, and slowly raising it until it sounds as bright as you need it to without sounding harsh- most Boss distortion pedals are voiced very bright, and need to be tamed!

How many more new pedals does the world really need?

@thehiatusprt15 жыл бұрын

@AeolianSeventh16 жыл бұрын
It's not exactly white noise...feedback is what happens when the sound waves coming out of the amp speaker vibrate the strings on the guitar. That's why you need big amps and distortion to generate it...it's just a shiver in the air, it needs a lot of power to vibrate metal strings. The reason it doesn't just sound like an endless note is because as the pickups tell the amp to keep going the frequency starts multiplying. One pedal can't do that, so this must just be a pitch-shifted loop.

@Whyrendog14 жыл бұрын
Sounds like something you would kick on for a few seconds when you need it. Really not a bad concept if someone were to use it properly.
@SuperUltra16 жыл бұрын
Technically, feedback is not even a real tone. It's just white noise created by the amp/PA when you're standing within range of the sound 'waves'. I don't really know how to explain how feedback is done, but this pedal just recreates it. What you're looking for is more of a delay effect or something than can sample an entire riff.

@Ojochris1 behringer is pretty well known for making products with the cheapest components possible and just about anything to limit the cost of production so that they can give it to you at that price. Their designs are all basically copies of other pedals with low quality components and tone. so hes right to be busting them. if you are getting a good tone out of them then good for you. even if they break they are cheap enough for you to just buy another

IMHO Behringer are only copies of Boss' Pedal. A good thing is the very low prices and the european quality but it's dumping: the original Boss pedal sound much better and resist much better. However Behringer sell copy of old bosses stompboxes like this, that's a copy of the original DF-2 SUPER Feedbacker & Distortion, or Behringer XD300 Distortion-X that copy Boss XT-2 Xtortion which you could only find on ebay.
