Behringer Proton sound demo being tested in a simple jam, cross patched with Behringer Neutron and Edge. Featuting oscillators mix, wavefolder, external audio used as feedback to saturate the signal, oscillator sync and ASR envelopes.
Warning: Hard resonance beginning at 6:20
Only a little delay and reverb were applied. The pad is from MPC's OPX-4, drums are MPC Drumsynth.

Nice - I like how you really demonstrate a wide variety of timbres over the course of the jam.

Such gritty resonance. Easy rave music.

Great demo! Interesting to see that other units also "suffer" from that unpleasent fuzzy overdrive (e.g. at 0:30). It is a shame that you can't lower the OSC volume directly to avoid that behaviour.

Really nice one, i have the Edge and thinking to buy the neutron or the protón, what do you think? I have módel cycles at drums. The protón js more complete has more features and wavefolder...or maybe the dreadbox typhon...

I'm still in love with my Neutron, it's wild. The Proton can be more complex, but don't expect much from the wavefolder, compared to my Bifold it's very mild. The filters in the Proton are a bit more "tamed" and you can play with the filter mix know to get a nice crossfade effect. But my ears prefer the wild combo of the Neutron filter + its overdrive, sometimes I pass the oscillators pre-filter through the Bifold and it sounds great. Can't say much about the Typhoon, but if you want more confusion to decide from check the West Pest.

@clonn really thanks for your answer , i think about the westpest too but i see the neutron more capable of other type of sounds, the pest sounds are plucky and metalic, the neutron IS more complete i think. What do you thinkg about the west pest?

If you send a tonemod waveshape VCO from either (with no submix on the Proton) straight into the same VCA and do a pulse width sweep how different do your Proton and Neutron sound? Especially all the way counter clockwise mine sound completely different

I should try that, but in my first tests the Proton sounded much darker to me without the subs.
