I should have said “footage” - no it’s all digital

I watched your other demo showing the difference between regular and inverted signals into the 914. Does this demo use a regular signal or an inverted signal?
@ZvookUK3 жыл бұрын
I can't remember now. It doesn't make much difference apart from when your'e feeding the signal back on to itself. I usually use the hot (+) signal for straightforward patches.

#behringer 914 sounds so cool - zvook is it only the env that need s-trig converter to talk to other euro?
@ZvookUK3 жыл бұрын
Yeah just the 911 envelopes use the S-trig

@@ZvookUK The System 55 Delay is also S-Trig and needs conversion.

What are you using for delay? In internal module, or post-processing?

Matt - So, do you have both the 921A/B and 921 VCOs? If so, can I do proper FM with a 921, or should I budget for a 921A/B dual combo? I’d like two VCOs with FM capability.
@leov060224 жыл бұрын
Matt - Do you recommend I get a pair of 921s or a pair of 921Bs? I’d like to do both typical oscillator stuff, and play with FM.
@leov060224 жыл бұрын
Matt - I’m pretty sure the 921Bs have a FM attenuator, right? That’d make it better for that, or am I wrong? I’m on the fence between which VCO to get.

@@leov06022 (I've had to re-post my comments as I've moved my channel) SoundToys EchoBoy. It was all recorded on the fly, no post processing. I have the A driver, x2 B VCOs and a 921 (you can see the system 55 modules I have at 04:38 on the above video). The 921s have multiple Pitch ins (3) so you can modulate its freq with a modulation source (exponential FM only). I linked one of the 921 outs with one of the 921A pitch ins to modulate the 92B's pitch the other day. But I could have done it the other way around. The driver has two pitch ins. The 921’s aux out has a gain pot which makes it useful as a modulation source. But you’d have to patch the 921B into an attenuator or (better yet) VCA if you wanted to control its gain. I'd recommend a pair of 921s as they are more flexible and the clamping point sync is more effective than the phase loop style sync on the 921Bs. The 921A/Bs are useful as you can chain them (and have a 921 at the end of the chain) but if you have a buffered mult you'd be able to control 2 921s with a single controller.

@@leov06022 I have a mos-lab 5u and if Behringer kept with the exact specs of the 921/b then the 921b should go down to .1Hz whereas the 921 should go down to .01Hz. The 921 is the LFO, though fully functional. When considering which one to get, you should think first what other modules do you have and then second, what your voice consists of. The original Moog sound was 3+ 901b, with distortion from the cp mixer, a little distortion from the vca, snappy envelopes and then that glorious 904a (also the power supply and the additional benefits of the fixed filter bank and the matrix mixer). If you already have a decent voice then by all means go with two 921. But having an ABBB in the same 4 spaces as you would have 2 921 really makes the decision difficult. I'm glad that moslab created a 921a disconnect switch on each B for LFO duties (or sequenced sync'd ). The 921 has to be one of the best designs for an oscillator though. So you'll definitely need at least one.
