I bought a used set 2 years ago. $300 CDN. WOW. Power. Punch. Stomach punching bass from nowhere. Clarity for every single instrument. Almost zero noise with no input.

Hi Alasdair. Thank you for your kind words. According to the various websites a clear distance of 1m is the minimum required distance between monitors and a wall. I'm just getting into this so I'm on a fairly steep learning curve at the moment.

Great monitors , I have a set and they are excellent for what I'm doing... Good if you have a bigger room, they like it to shift the bass...

Good choice. I hope you're as happy with them as I am.

A had a mechanical rattling sound on one of my speakers, it should have been caught in the testing phase. I was able to fix it myself, instead of sending it back and forth between Denmark and Germany). Since then I've had no troubles. I have the B2092A sub as well, but I don't gain much from it. It would be nice if you could set the cross-over point yourself, i think 80 hz is too low. YMMV

i own a pair of these and i am super happy with them. i even had option to try out Adam a8x in the same room cuz my mate borrowed me a pair - i gave him back the adams the very same day. maybe it's matter of getting used to speakers or specific room treatment, but 3031-a sounded way better. Especialy in the low frequencies

I have them set 5' 6" apart on the front of my booth. As I'm sure you're aware, the perfect distance for me would be at the point of an equilateral triangle but I'm actually postioned about 5 feet back from them due to the current layout of my studio.

I have a pair of these, The sound is good, although you do get a constant annoying buzz that you can hear when turned on, I think its the amps!
@stevestewart-sturges21594 жыл бұрын
I have used mine for almost 8 years now, and still sound great! Don't expect them to sound like high end Adam or Hafler, I have friends with studios where I can A-B my 3031A mixes to theirs, but they are quite satisfactory...

What price range are we talking if I would want a worthwhile upgrade from these in the future? Are there any monitors that's less than $500 each that would be a noticable improvement? Or $1000?
@stevestewart-sturges21593 жыл бұрын
@@trulsolsen683 I wish I could tell you I don't think they are made anymore, you'll have to look on eBay or the like, I'll sell you mine but they have to ship from Thailand, where I live...

@@stevestewart-sturges2159 oh I just bought a pair from my local used market, just wanted to hear your opinion for future reference so I know when (if at all) it would be time to upgrade again

@@trulsolsen683 Glad you managed to pick up a pair. I'm quite happy with mine, or I would have gotten rid of them years ago. I am planning a upgrade to me studio in a few months and these are going to be relocated further away from my desk, I am thinking I will get either a pair of NS-10's or Adam T5V's for near fields. Until I have a major issue with them, I will keep using them. Hope that is of some help!

Hey sorry to bother you, do you believe the b2031a are good, I would say so. But I need a sound card that can handle them, any suggestions

I've never had any problem with noise. I remember when I was researching studio monitors I found a couple of posts in forums where people mentioned white noise. If I remember correctly ground looping was mentioned. Unfortunately I know very little about this so it may be worth checking the support section of Behringer's website. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

I'm not familiar with the Pod X3 but yes, the 1/4" TRS outputs can be connected direct to your monitors. Always buy the best quality cables that you can afford. I use XLR cables that were made up for me by a small local independent supplier. Cheap cables risk degrading the audio signal.

Agree on front port preference. I had the original Mackies and didn't like them.

I had those for a while and when I switched to a pair of Adam A7 ribbons people started complimenting my mixes.. what does that say about Behringer.. If you're on a budget get a pair of Prodipe 5 or 8, they sound awesome, and does not color the sound as much, well.. just an opinion :)

I really don't want to fiddle with settings to fit the Monitors to my room ,, I want to fit my room to the Monitors with a "Flat" set up ,, no roll offs etc.. Question:: What distance from the back wall do you recommend the speakers of this size - Driver related - should sit?

I just got my cables and the monitors are sounding great! Another question...There is a quiet white noise coming out of the tweeters, is this normal?

The POWER of the original 8.75" Truth is quite something! I had the standard model and I must say that having 470 watts of bi-amplified, controlled power in your home can unintentionally really piss off the neighbours!
@MattyPS11 жыл бұрын
How much distance do you let between yourself and the monitors when you are using them?
@LFOVCF11 жыл бұрын
I have just taken delivery of them, and they are brilliant. The sweetspot is much bigger than many far more expensive. They have loads of power, if your ears can stand it, with no perceivable distortion at high levels. I can hear detail as if the sound is under a microscope. What I find annoying is that people are snobbish about these, like it's fashionable to knock them, but I doubt they have heard these. I auditioned the KRKs and to be honest, I thought they were muddy low end, but because they are the 'in thing', people have to be seen with them in the studios. 'Oooh look, yellow cones!" Well I'm more than happy, with my black kevlar cones!

Krks??? Beware people praising absolute garbage like Jbls, Focal alphas, Yamahas and many others....Then you have these (that can easily compared to Adam Ax series), Tannoys Reveals, M-audio M3-8/6 which sound fantastic and are Wallet friendly as well!!! What a strange world.... ;)

I just go these monitors. I am using a Pod x3 as a sound card. It has stereo 1/4-inch TRS Balanced Line outputs (Left & Right) and a 1/4-inch Stereo Headphones output. I should connect the monitors to the Balanced Line outputs, shouldn't I? There are some really cheap cables out there, what cables would you recommend me to get? Thank you.
